Visited 15 & 16 June 2015, immediately after the Durham regatta. Although some staff were still clearing up after the regatta, there was no mess or rubbish lying around. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as were a couple of members. All staff and members were very friendly at all times. The pitches were fine, no churned up grass and we were never blocked in. We also did not really notice any noise from early morning rowers.  It is a lovely walk along the river into Durham centre, and we even stopped to watch a couple of cricket matches along the way! Although it is right next to the car park, if you face the river, it is a beautiful location. We had access to the toilets and showers throughout the day until 10pm. We loved this site and will definitely return again.
