Easington Farm: Fabulous!

We know this part of Northumberland very well and for those who don't I'd say this cl is one of the best, in terms of being a base to explore this beautiful part of the North East. There are walks direct from the site and the owner is happy to provide info about them. It is a short drive to Bamburgh, Holy Island and Ross Sands for beautiful coastal walks and slightly further afield are Alnwick and Seahouses. To be honest there is so much to see and do around this area that the list is endless. The pitches are well spaced out and all have good views. There is one pitch which would possibly be awkward for a large motorhome, (which I think is the one referred to in the previous review) but it looks as though the owner has made it larger and it is fine for caravans. You can hear the distant sounds of the trains passing but they don't operate through the night and and they didn't disturb us. It is a five minute drive to nearby Belford for the local Coop, the John Dory chippy and several pubs. It was great having individual taps to each pitch and the recycling facilities are very good. All in all this site is a very welcome addition to the cl network and we will definitely be using it again.

Unable to stay sadly

We booked as part of a tour of the North. as we had been out all day arrived around 4pm. A text allocating our pitch had been sent so all seemed OK. Upon arrival all of the 4 pitches in the pictures were occupied. Our pitch, number 5, is not seen and is a cut out on a bank that slopes in 2 directions and is quite short, even for our 6m unit. Sadly had to then find an alternative CL.

Great bank holiday weekend

We had a really warm welcome from John on arrival he informed us of all the local beauty spots and was very informative. This CL site has picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and sea. In the distance you can see the Holy Island. It is a very peaceful and relaxing site within easy reach of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle also Seahouses is close by. If you like Watersports Beadnell bay is a great place to visit. We enjoyed the site that much we extended our stay. J and R
