Great stay

We enjoyed a very restful stay here for a couple of nights. Close enough to the village amenities, but far enough to feel really disconnected. The welcome was warm, and site was well provisioned and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the toilet was out of use due to Coronavirus restrictions. Nice walks right from your plot and great wildlife along the river. Watch carefully for the kingfishers. Yes, you'll hear some noise from the trains and planes when you're outside, but in your van, and overnight, it's not an issue. We'll be back!

There isn't a better cl site

From the welcome while booking, to the arrival and our five night stay, we were brilliantly looked after by John. Loved the area too. Jen and Barrie Davies

Nice stay

Had three nights on this pleasant CL. Friendly owner who had time to talk and site is really nice just the right size. Toilet in a shed was very clean. As we have just started going out Geocaching the area was great for us loads to find and river Weaver just over the field away. Nice walks from the pitch .Yes some noise from trains and planes going into Manchester airport and that's the only down side but we will use again soon.

Caravan prep

Just brought the van out from storage at hatchmere and wanted somewhere local to pitch. Well kept lovely peaceful site with great walks and views. Busy west coast mainline very close but not a problem. John is a friendly welcoming chap always willing to have a chat with his guests. 1 on site toilet kept very clean,16 amp hook ups, good level pitches, water and elsan point. Will definitely be back soon. Cheers John šŸ˜

Wonderful site

Just spent 3 nights at this Wonderful CL our first visit to a CL ( Ā£14 with 16 amp hook up ) greeted on our arrival by a friendly stand in for John the owner who was away for a few days. Terry pointed out all the usual facilities - the one toilet was spotless with sink ,soap and fresh towel and unusually lots of rolls of toilet paper impressed, waste bins you could eat you,r lunch on ,grey and black waste then to our pitch ,the caravan field level with newly mowed grass we got the van set up had our brew then off on one of the many walks from the site down through the fields to the river Weaver lucky enough to see a barge moored up gentle stroll back to van for tea ,3 days of rest and chill out so many places to visit in this area well worth a visit the only down side was the railway line noise of the trains there was no problems with them here every few minutes but we live near to a line so we got used it,Friday had a meal in the local pub 5 min drive The Bulls Head good food and is dog friendly we will return to both the CL and the pub PS no motorhome service point

Lovely CL not too far from home

Weā€™d hoped to use this CL sooner but weather and other factors got in the way. At last we managed 9 nights late May. Would endorse everything else that has been said about it, just wonderful and less than an hour from home - which was handy as I had to hop back for a medical appointment. Thereā€™s a regular bus service from Davenham village to Northwich, Middlewich and Crewe, the bus stop is about 20 mins walk. If the wind is in the east itā€™s a great viewpoint for aircraft headed for Manchester with an A380 coming in at 11.45 daily. Thank you John for looking after us. We will definitely be back, maybe with some friends next time.
