Great Site

Super large hard standing pitches with great facilities and views. Lovely site. Allan is best tour guide ever especially for bike riders. He couldn’t have been more helpful with suggestions of activities and places to go.

The Perfect CL

We have just returned from a perfect week’s stay on this lovely CL. Quite possibly the best site we have ever stayed on. The owner, Alan has left nothing to chance. The layout is perfect with generous spacing for each unit with it’s own EHU and water tap. The pitches are hard standing but also with grassy area. The views are stunning. The amenities Alan has provided are second to none and the CL is a credit to him. He is a mine of information and nothing is too much trouble for him. The location is perfect for Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth with a bus stopping outside the site. We are really looking forward to returning soon.

Beaky Bailey

Just had a lovely stay at this site. Allan has done a wonderful job of creating this C.L. Site. Very spacious pitches, all hard standing with fresh water taps at every pitch. The toilet cassette emptying is second to none and he is in the process of building a toilet and shower block at the moment. We will definitely be returning hopefully next year.

Lovely site. Wish we could keep it a secret!!

Just returned from Emmett’s Farm. We should have been staying for the New Year, but because of Covid and Devon being put into tier 3 we had to return after one night. Each pitch is huge and flat with complete hard standing and big grass spaces between each pitch. You also have your own tap and with 16amp to each pitch, it ticks all the boxes. Soon to have 2 toilets, a shower, washing machine and tumbler dryer. There is recycling and all bins are well marked and the cdp is clean and undercover. The views to Seaton are stunning and being a late December night, looked even better. Thank you Allan for setting up a fantastic CL. We will be back.

Great CL

Great CL with enormous hard standing pitches with more than enough room for caravan, awning and car side by side. Water and EHU to each pitch, easy grey waste disposal and the best Elsan disposal point that you will ever find! Some road noise but nothing too intrusive and quiet at night. Allan is very helpful and has great local knowledge for places of interest and walks.

Tranquility amidst Covid

I've just returned from 4 nights at Emmetts Farm, a more peaceful retreat could not be wished for. All pitches have their own tap and electrical hook up so the only communal things you have to touch are the grey water tap, the Elsan flush and hand wash basin and the entrance gate, perfect for anybody who is considered vulnerable to infection through age or medical condition. The Site has marvellous views over the Axe Valley and on Allen's advice I took a kayak on the Axe which is a charming little river. Allan is the perfect host, not intrusive but available to give advice and guidance, and he has created a charming site. This is a new site offered to a very high standard and Allan is working on a shower ,toilet and laundry within the barn where the Elsan point is found to be opened some time in 2021. Axminster, Axmouth and Seaton are a short drive away where there are pubs, supermarkets and takeaway food. There is a local bus service and although the bus stop is not close Allan told us the bus could be flagged down outside, and he plans to extend the width of the driveway at the entrance to help facilitate this. It was mostly dry thought my stay, one day I travelled further into Devon and it poured down all afternoon. That night as I drove back to the caravan it was still raining on the A35 and when I turned off onto the A358, but by the time I reached Musbury it had not only stopped raining but the roads were bone dry. When I asked Allen about it he said that the location enjoyed a very mild micro climate, and although it did rain on occasion it was rare. I had a dog with me and she loved it, there is a dog walk around a small orchard (check out the lovely views from Allan's agricultural bench). The local pub in Axmouth is dog friendly, has a lovely beer garden and served great food. I was tempted to give this a poor rating to deter people from going so that there would always be availability for me but for a CL things don't get much better. This is no building site and I doubt anybody would be aware of the ongoing improvements but when Allan completes the works it will be hard to better.

What a fantastic site Allan is creating

Just back from a lovely week at this new CL. Easy access, lovely flat all service pitches with beautiful views over the Axe Valley down to the sea at Seaton. Allan is still adding to the facilities of this site which is already well worth a visit, but don’t all book at once, leave space for us next time we want to book. Allan is a fount of knowledge about the local area, nature, wildlife and even stars which he is always willing to share. Well done Allan you are doing a great job.

Fantastic site

We stayed at Emmetts Farm for 3 nights mid September- what a little Gem. It’s a lovely site, flat spacious pitches with water and EHU on each pitch. it’s a new site, very well laid out, and the views over the Axe Valley are stunning. Close to Seaton and Lyme Regis with a local bus service. The electric tram ride from Seaton to Colyton is well worth it, taking you through the wetlands. We also did the coastal walk from Seaton to Lyme Regis. Alan, the owner is lovely and very helpful. Shower and toilets will be added. Would highly recommend this site, and will definitely be back if we holiday in the area again.

A Relaxing stay

We were the first 'customers' to this newly opened site in August, it is a work in progress which is behind due to covid 19. For next year (2021) there should bea toilet, a wet room and laundry facilities There is water and EHU to each flat, hard standing pitch, the pitches are on 2 levels overlooking the Axe valley to Seaton in the distance. The Seaton trams can be seen passing ithrough the valley. There are recycling facilities in a well screened area. River Cottage is local and there are NT coastal paths and walks not too far away. Also a nature reserve can be reached on foot or by car, with a cafe open at certain times. Alan who is friendly and is willing to talk with you about the area told us we could help ourselves to any fruit in the orchard. In Seaton there is promenade parking with a charge but Tesco have 2 hours free parking and is in the town. Lyme Regis and Sidmouth nearby too.
