All a CL should be

Quiet, well laid out site, access road narrow but straight forward to enter and pitch to ensure a good view on level grass with plenty of space between each van. Multiple water points, clean area for chemical and household waste and added bonus of a small toilet block. Most importantly of course, an owner who is helpful and easy to contact.

Windswept but what a view!

Don’t trust the reviews of a year or so ago. This site has received serious investment. The WC is clean and tidy. The chemical waste disposal is brand new and fit for purpose. The water supply is easy to fit a hose to. The bins are easy to access. There are 6 EHU points. The access is narrow but the hedging appeared to have been well cut back and no problem for our campervan or our friend’s caravan. There is a gravel track to the top of the site but there are no hard standings as such, which shouldn’t be a problem because it is at the top of a hill. The two flattest pitches are at the top of the hill, furthest from the facilities which are at the lowest point. It’s a bit of a pull with a 40 litre roll tank up the hill but Fitbit and Apple Watch wearers will delight in the knowledge this will add to their ‘exercise minutes’. It is exposed and when the wind blows, as it did for us, you will notice, particularly if from the East. We were there in March and it was cold as well. Brrrrr! Having said all that, the scenery is spectacular and well worth the effort. We loved our stay. By the way, an area of scrubland at the top (flat) part of the site has been cleared and seeded for grass so there will be more flat pitch options in the future.

Good short stay

Not a bad short stay site with an easy 5 minute walk into Abersoch which is a quaint little sea side town with a few decent bars and restaurants - certainly worth a visit. The views from the top of the site were good stretching out to the sea in the far distance. My only gripe is that the site was over looked by a circle of houses so did not feel particularly tranquil. I also thought the water refill arrangement for a motorhome were not great. The owner was lovely and welcoming so no problems on that front. Overall, not bad and certainly good enough to use as a base for Abersoch and surrounds.

great views, poor access

great views from top of the site which is level ( enough for 3 vans );  the rest of the field gets ever steeper. easy walk into Abersoch to plenty of bars and food stops. little or no facilities to walk the dog from site. EHU to each pitch; water, waste and WC at the bottom of the field.  Our stay was marred by the poor state of the access lane ( approx 40 meters lomg ) it is not only narrow but has extensive over hanging trees and shrubs with some big branches that are not obvious until its past the point of no return.  if you visit this CL be prepared for scratches and marks on the side of your van and along the windows. We will not be visiting this CL again unless the access over growth is sorted

amazing views

We had a two night stay on this CL. On arrival the lane up to the field is very tight. We were in a motorhome and you could here the trees rattling it as we drove up. The CL is at the top of the field and the views up there are amazing. Sea views all around. We saw the sunrise over the sea with a backdrop of the mountains. It is a well kept site with electic hook ups and a toilet. We had the pitch on the top of the hill it was quiet flat but most of the site is on a slope so don't forget your levelling blocks. We would visit again.
