Great CL

We stayed here the last weekend in April. It was our first visit and will go again we was met on arrival and shown the amenities. The site is spacious and level and also well maintained. It is a very peaceful site so no noise at night. There is a wood right next door which is lovely to walk through Highly recommended

What a wonderful place

Superb site in a fantastic location. Owner helpful and very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Other visitors very friendly. Felt very relaxed wished we could've stayed longer but we will be going back. Great dog walk. Saw wild deer whilst having breakfast and in ancient woods just next to site.

Great site

A lovely clean well kept site with a great owner who treated us on our arrival pointing out all of the places of interest and walks. He even offered to tow us off the site when we were leaving due to the bad weather. Will certainly visit this site again.

Our favourite CL

In an attempt to find a nice place to retreat to at the weekend, we visited many CL's before we came across Forewood Farm. This is not your postage stamp size piece of grass at the back of the barn. Forewood Farm is very spacious, the grass is kept really nice, always lovely and peaceful and if the weather is good you may get to see the light aircraft taking off and landing. We are always made welcome by Dave the owner who always has time for a chat and makes everyone very welcome. Another attraction is a fenced area on the site that houses Alpaca's. We have found our weekend retreat and we return whenever we get chance. My wife has told me not make this review too good, as she is proud of her discovery and doesn't want the place to become too popular. Seriously though, Forewood Farm is the best CL we have visited.

A lovely spacious site.

We received a friendly welcome to this lovely site. Nice and spacious. We booked it originally as it is close to Sundown Adventure Park, where we were taking the children as a surprise.  The site was so nice that we hope to return another time.

As you would Expect.

We have just left the CL after spending a very pleasant 3 nights there. We were greeted by the owners who I must say are jolly nice people, very friendly and happy to help. Having local knowledge of the area Dave, the boss, pointed us in the right direction, he is a very enthusiastic light aircraft Pilot and was pleased to show me his plane and others stored nearby. On two occasions light aircraft landed on the strip near but not too near of the CL. We have reserved another two nights and are looking forward to out return, a 100% must visit CL if in this area.

Excellent CL

Just returned from a weekend here, it really is a lovely quiet site with plenty space for vans and lots of room for kids to play with great walks on your door step. Owners are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are good, the grass is nice and short and tidy. Really lovely place with the added bonus of the occasional light aircraft taking off from the field which the kids loved! Will definitely be returning as soon as we can Cool

Peace and tranquillity

This is a lovely site, with spacious grassed area and views across fields gently sloping up to the nearby nature reserve wood, and so peaceful! We had a fantastic week, having been welcomed by David, and given plenty of tips for local walks, As we arrived on Nov.5th, we were even invited to the village bonfire and fireworks display, which we enjoyed very much. The site is also ideally placed for exploring further afield in all directions, among other places, we visited Southwell Minster, well worth seeing. We went for a field and woodland walk every morning and never the same route twice! Will definitely be back in the Spring!

Fantastic hospitality

What a beautiful CL!!! We could not have been made more welcome by both David and his son. Fantastically tranquil & quiet with lovely views across the farmland and into the wooded areas. Even during some hefty rain fall the ground was still solid. Watching a plane take off on the small landing strip closeby really excited the children. A really good value and lovely site that we will visit again
