The CL is a fenced off part of a larger caravan field, there’s an adjacent part of the field for rallies. Dogs are now allowed on site but must be kept on leads. The field is well mowed and flat, despite alot of rain while we were there it remained pretty drained apart from a few small puddles. There’s a cabin to the bottom of the cl next to a barn, with separate mens & ladies shower and toilets. Although the shower remained locked during our stay despite easing of lockdown. Covid rules in place, the toilets were inspected regularly and kept clean. Very spacious pitches with pleasant views. You can walk your dog around the field which is approximately 1 mile (so another couple told us who were there). We wouldn’t have felt safe walking out of the site onto the road, as there’s no pavement or verge and it’s a winding country lane. There is a walk towards the beach just out of the gate and down a track but it’s rarely used and it was extremely muddy during our stay so we chose to drive out each day. Rhyl and Prestatyn are very close by. We visited the ‘i’m a celebrity castle’ (Gwyrch Castle) & Bodnant garden which were both well worth a visit. (Both a 30 minute drive away). No pubs within walking distance but plenty in the area. Recommended for a quiet getaway. There was only our caravan and one more there throughout our stay but the owner said this was unusual.
