9/10 for Foxhill Farm

If you're looking for a site near the New Forest, but away from the crowded touristy spots, then this CL is just the place for you. Follow the website directions - take care through Fordingbridge and along the lanes to Alderholt and you arrive at a very wide and easy access with the CL itself signposted through the hedge beyond the owners bungalow. There are 6 hardstanding pitches, topped with pea gravel so comfortable enough to walk on and soft enough to make pegging out an awning a piece of cake. There's a tap and 10 amp EHU for each pitch along with grey water drainage. The toilet and shower facilities are exactly as described and a superb feature. There is wifi although you only get the signal by sitting on the bench outside the bungalow, but it's fine for checking emails and catching up on CT. Next to the site is huge playing field and recreation area where dogs are allowed to be exercised. The lane outside the site itself seems to attract the local speed merchants from time to time but it is nothing to really disturb the peace and quiet of the site. All in all a great place for a short (or long break). So why only 9/10? Well, it was a bit naughty to have 6 units on site on Friday and Saturday nights (although given the layout of the site and the facilities that's not a problem in itself), the prices are bumped up a couple of pounds in July and August and the charge for dogs is questionable given that no provision is made for them - not even a pooh bin! But at the end of the day the acid test is would you return to the site and the answer to that is a resounding yes, we'll certainly be back.

Fantastic one couldn't wish for a nicer site.

There is everything one needs here, spotless toilets and wet rooms [separate ladies and gents], dishwashing areas, washing machine and tumble drier .Good size pitches the grass is nice and short , Heather and Den have done a fantastic job ,and continue to do so, well done them. There is a bit of noise from the road along side the site but we didn't find it any trouble during the night. We will certainly return again when we are in the area . It will be getting our vote for C.L. of the year, thats how good we think it is.

Superb Site - It's all here!

We spent four days here at the end of October. What a superb site, it puts many commercial sites to shame. Fully serviced pitches, a well equipped shower/ toilet / laundry area with a wash-up area outside. We are walkers therefore the ease of access to Ringwood Forest was amazing. Well done to Foxhill Farm.

One of the best so far

We had a last minute booking and were a bit unsure what to expect based on John T's comments but we were more than happy with what awaited us. Yes there are six pitches but Heather explained that one was a changeover pitch so it made perfect sense. The pitches, all hard standings, are arranged in an arc with a huge grass area in front, there is plenty of room for everything and the facilities are superb. The only tiny critisism is that after dark it was too dark, the facilties block could really do with a permanent light as well as the sensor lights otherwise perfect. Well done Heather and Den :-)

It started out so well!

Booked into this site and was very impressed by the facilities. The shower block and toilets were the best we have seen on any CL or Club site. The grass is well kept and the graveled pitches are well spaced. We thoroughly enjoyed the first 4 days of our stay. However an apparent mix up in bookings meant that on the 5th day there were 6 caravans on site. We were told by someone in the caravan next to us that the same thing had happened the weekend before. Now anyone can make a mistake, but imagine our dismay when a 7th caravan booked in on the afternoon of day 6, followed by a camper van during the early evening of the same day, making 8 units in total on a CL that is only supposed to take 5. We book into CL's precisely for the fact that we enjoy a small site, and whilst we would love to return to Foxhill Farm sometime in the future, I'm afraid that if they flout the rules like this they will lose ours and other peoples custom fairly rapidly.

Very nice CL

Very pleasant CL that will improve as newly planted shrubs between the pitches grow and add that little bit of privacy. High quality toilet and shower building with washing machine and dryer too. Level pitches with hard standing that each have a grey water drain and access to their own water tap and a 10 amp EHU. Co-op supermarket half a mile or so at end of road. Helpful owners made us welcome, would not hesitate to return if we revisit this area.

Lovely new clean site. 4 toilets , 2 showers and 2 sinks for washing up all for 5  caravans. Plus washing machine and tumble dryer. Nice big lawned field with hard standing. Den and Heather were very welcoming and willing to share knowledge of local area.  Good walking and cycling area, Red shoot pub and Fish inn worth a visit. Enjoy we will be back,
