Good overall for a few days or overnight
Comments about signage I’d agree with. There is a lay-by and information sign opposite the entrance as a land mark if needed. The grass pitches are largely level with electricity, a rubbish bin and chemical toilet disposal but no obvious gray water grate suitable for motorhomes.
£12 a night (+£3 if you have an awning) seems reasonable to me but as indicated, the owner seems to have a relaxed approach to coming round to collect the fees.
Road noise is noticeable and without it, things are very peaceful. Good area to see wildlife with pairs of red kites visiting regularly. The Clachan Inn at St John’s Town of Dalry is a good local pub & eatery.
