Perfect

Located in a beautiful and remote location, you are surrounded by peace and serenity with only the sound of nature ( and the occasional “Baa”) to disturb. Was lucky enough to share the site with only one other, and found the tv and Wi-Fi reception very good. The shower and WC facilities were a huge bonus and were perfectly functional and spotless. I will certainly be back 😎

We will be back

We have just spent the last 3 days on this lovely little CL site called Goldings CL Caravan site at Stonham Aspal Nr Stowmarket Our Pitch was £20 for 2 adults with EHU and awning . We was greeted by a lovely lady called “Jo” just after we arrived on site to tell us what was there and where it was. It has toilet - shower plus clothes washing / drying machine. Very well kept grass pitches and peaceful just the birds singing and sheep grazing in the next field and far enough away from road noise. It’s just a 10 minute walk to the “Stonham Barnes Park” where there is always something for everyone to pass some time away. This CL is well worth a visit we will definitely be back.

A perfect retreat in central Suffolk

Spacious, peaceful and quiet, what more could you ask: This is a beautiful site in a great location for touring throughout Suffolk. Approach and access roads are easy to negotiate. Your allocated pitch is displayed on the board at the entrance and pitching up couldn't be easier. Well maintained lawn with plenty of space for all. The owner, Maria, was away on holiday so we were greeted by Jo. What a wonderful lady Jo is; warm and welcoming, engaging personality, full of life and only too ready to provide any help she can. Probably the best host we have experienced in all of our travels.

A pleasure to visit

We have been returning to The Goldings regularly for a number of years. Driving down the lane to the site is so picturesque. The Site is always maintained to a very high standard. All facilities are kept very clean, there is a Shower, W.C. also a Laundry Room with a tumble dryer provided. The field is surrounded by trees and has good sized level pitches with plenty of space between. The bird song during the day & evening is so delightful and relaxing. Being a Dog owner, the walks around the fields adjoining the Site is perfect for exercising. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit locally and the coast is only a short journey away. As you drive around through the villages the choice of good quality Public Houses supplying great food is certainly a bonus. Staying at 'The Goldings' is a real pleasure.

Hidden Gem

This is one of those little gems, very spacious and immaculate lawn, plenty of trees for shade... But not over hanging any pitch. Very quiet at night. You approach the site by a narrow lane and the drive seems tight but we were fine with our big Buccaneer. I enjoyed watching the sheep in the adjacent field and just chilling on this peaceful site. Water & recycling conveniently located and chemical toilet not far was clean and hygienic using Green only but that suites me. There is also a toilet, shower and laundry room on site all nice and clean. Owner Maria was welcoming and friendly then left us to ourselves.

Idyllic - a hidden gem

We left it late to find a site for our holiday and were delighted to find this CL on the CAMC website. It is everything we could ask for - lovely peaceful level field, charming owners, EHU, access to toilet and shower facilities which would put some hotels to shame and there is even a laundry with washing machine and tumble drier. We can't work out why it isn't full as what more could many caravanners want? Just wish it was closer to home so we could become regulars!

Stargazers Paridise.

What a beautiful site. Down a lane with absolutely no passing traffic, this is peace on earth. Good facilities, spotlessly clean. Easy reception on site. As stated, a wonderful vista for stargazers, or even non stargazers. The lack of light pollution makes the stars really shine. Locally, there is much to see. The coast is only a short drive away, with such wonderful quaint places such as Aldeborough and Southwold. Stowmarket itself has the Museum of East Anglia Rural Life - well worth a visit. Many of the small villages are a delight, and there are some decent pubs in the area. Farm shops are also plentiful, and just down the road is the 'Hog and Hen'. Lovely produce. What amazed me most about this site was the fact that at this time of year there was only one other caravan on the site with us. Now I hesitate to put that, as part of me wants to keep it that way! All in all, a truly peaceful and lovely site.

Highly recommended

A wonderful bank holiday weekend blessed by magnificent weather. Goldings is a tranquil haven of peace in lovely surroundings and all pitches have a very pleasing aspect.  We have never heard so many owls close by; a real chorus in the dead of night with nothing else moving. The facilities are excellent for a CL and maintained scrupulously clean. The site is on a working farm and Maria, the owner, made my grandson's day when she offered him a ride on the combine harvester with her husband Charles, an experience he will never forget. We will certainly be returning.
