Charming & Hospitable

Giles welcomed us soon after we arrived and was extremely helpful throughout our week long stay. The site is well screened with trees, very useful for shade as we were there during an extremely hot spell. A short walk to an excellent pub and with several good walks all without needing to use your car. Toilet & sink kept clean, all in all highly recommended.

August bank holiday

Just got back from 3 nights at this lovely site, the owners were away but their 'caretaker' was most welcoming and informative. (We enjoyed the hens that came to see us on the first night, but wondered if this was a mistake as we didn't see them again!) We took bikes and cycled the towpath at Bradford upon Avon, a good trip, even when it rained. Went back for the farmer's market but didn't get a farmer!! Had an evening meal at the Quarrymans arms that is just up the road from the site. They were full and we hadn't booked but they found us a table. The waitress was a great laugh and the meal was good. Will definitely try to come back to this lovely little site again.

Peaceful CL

What an excellent little site with tremendous views down the valley to Bath. We stayed 3 nights and will have no hesitation in returning. The site is in a small field surrounded by trees and is slightly sloping. Access is good. Facilities are basic but do not let that put you off. The local pub is only 2 -3 minutes walk away serving excellent food and also has a range of guest ales and single malts. Being just off the A4, access to Bath, Chippenham and other places of interest is easy.

Gorgeous

A truly beautifully situated cl. We stayed here for four nights in September and wouldn't hesitate to return. Stunning scenery, a pub, (The Quarrmans Arms)) which serves delicious reasonably priced meals, very friendly locals, what more can you want. Well, Bath is nearby but Corsham and its almshouses are a must see, and so is Avebury. That's one happy friendly and dog friendly place.  Must be something to do with the stone circles. Not to be missed.

Lovely Place

We have used this sight considerably over the past few months and it hasn’t let us down.  The toilet block is basic but clean. The pitches are spacious but you may need an extension to your existing hook up in  a couple of areas. The scenery out over the valley into Bath is beautiful.  The Quarryman’s pub is a very short walk and it serves good food.  There are plenty of areas for walking the dogs.  The NT owned village of Lacock isn’t far and is definitely worth visiting. Many thanks to Giles and Fi.  We will use this CL again.

Good dog walking area

We had a lovely stay at Grove Farm although the weather was far from perfect! We appreciated all the many footpaths in the area which made excellent dog walking. Views from the nearby seat were excellent looking down towards Box and Bath. The CL is well located for visiting many National Trust Properties, Bath, Kennet and Avon Canal, and Corsham. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the eggs and apples!

Going to the Bath area?

We were very pleased with this site and received a very warm welcome on arrival and lots of helpful advice.   Perfect spot for catching the bus into Bath or visiting any number of super places in the area.  Do explore Box - lots of history.   Word of warning, take care if you are going cross country from the M4 to the A4 - we took a little lane to avoid the rush hour traffic and it was much narrower and steeper than we could have imagined!   Would return to the site any time.

Reliving the past

We recently visited Corsham to check out some past life history and stayed at this site The site is easy to access with all grass pitches could be a bit difficult in inclement weather. It would be shame to ruin the grass. A basic CL plus WC with limited EHU so make sure you have plenty of cable. Very informal, comfortable and has everything we need including a very nice pub within 5 minutes walking. Thank you and we would return.

Smashing little site

Nice little site - quite sloping - blocks needed in just about every spot. Views restricted from the actual site, but beautiful from 30 yards up the road. Good dog walking through woods and nearby fields. TV reception and mobile phone good. Very quiet - just a few cars on the road to the village behind the site. Quarrymans Arms very welcoming - only coffee in the mornings. Kitchen opens 12 midday. Friendly and helpful owners - thanks for the new laid eggs! Toilet adequate and we could leave our bike in the outhouse - very handy as it threw in down overnight! Will be back.

Grove Farm CL

Just returned from spending 7 days on site.  Very helpful attentive owner. Handy for access to Bath and surrounding areas. Onsite toilet very good, nice to have hot water to wash your hands after empting toilet cassette.
