A lovely countryside retreat
Good directions to the site (don't use Sat Nav!) Nice sized pitches laid out in a way that affords a bit of privacy with good space in between. Water, waste & bins easily accessible. Shower and toilets clean despite the old mop and dirty water outside. The site was a little tired with long grass and pitches in need of weeding but as it is just after winter I am sure these will be done for Spring. The owners are friendly but keep out of the way. Great dog walking fields. The pub in Coaley 'The Old Fox' is well worth the 20-minute walk (take a torch) lovely atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again.
Peaceful site
Spent 4 nights here. Overall we were happy with the CL for the price.
Plenty of space between pitches.
Electric and water easily accessible.
Good bins and recycling facilities.
The toilets and showers were in a good sized room. The toilet rolls ran out twice, no spare rolls in the toilet rooms.
The shower was nice and hot. If only a squeegee was supplied the showers could be easily cleaned down after use. As it was there was a dirty mop in a bucket with 2 inches of dirty water.
The grass was long and had not been cut for a while.
With a little bit of work this could be a perfect site !
Perfect
One of the best CLs we've ever stayed on.(Caravanning on CLs for 35yrs) Great showers/toilets kept clean and well stocked with loo paper and soap. Good hardstandings. Dog walks from site. Owners leave you alone, but there is always someone at the farmhouse if you need anything. So quiet we woke up at 10.00am on the first day! Booked for three nights, stayed seven. Some of these £15 CLs are nothing more than a field with a hook up. This is an example of what a £15 site should be providing. Great value. Great holiday. Perfect.

Overnight stay
We used this site for a stop over on way from York to Cornwall. Very friendly welcome from James, who helped us with his local knowledge. The site is an excellent stop over but I could have spent longer there. Extremely quiet and tranquil. Facilities excellent. Showers and toilets spotless.

Tranquil and peaceful site. Friendly helpful owners. Clean modern facilities.
This site is why we like CL sites. Sat in van watching the lambs skip in the pasture with a beautiful Cotswold backdrop.
On booking we received a comprehensive guide book full of everything you need, directions, arrival, walks, local facilities and an introduction to the farming family.
We did have difficulty in finding the site but that was down to the sat nav. Once we looked at the previously supplied guide book we were put right!! More evidence of the written word being more powerful than intuitive electronic devices!
On arrival we were met by James the son of the farm and were made immediately welcome. He showed us the pitches and the facilities. Explained where to find assistance if it was needed and wished us a pleasant stay. Alll that was needed.
To sum it all up Good facilities, idyllic location and a true peaceful gem of a site. We will definitely return.

Could be the idyllic CL.
My Wife, Son and I stayed here for three nights visiting friends before heading further south into Devon. I can only echo what the previous reviewer says about the site being in an area of tranquillity. The facilities are fine but the whole experience was spoiled by the distinct lack of information. The directions to the site fail to state where the pitches are whereas a small sign with an arrow would put this right. There is no obvious walks from the site area and on one occasion my wife walked our 2 dogs past the proprietors house and was asked not to as it sets her own dogs off barking. This could so easily have been rectified by more information being supplied relating to local walks etc. Another example of misinformation was evident when I noticed a sign offering Eggs for sale. When I politely inquired I was abruptly told that the hens had stopped laying. So why was the sign still displayed? This CL could be a gem if run by the right people.
Rural peace
Birdsong, and the attentions of a friendly mixed breed herd of young cattle over the fence made us feel we had truly got away from it all. Cut grass and hard standings, adequate toilet and shower facilities were all welcome. (Cobwebs and a bit of black mould, but they were cleaned daily.) At the foot of the Cotswold escarpment, you follow quiet narrow lanes with passing places to get to local towns and attractions. The surrounding countryside is riddled with public footpaths although many hayfields were just about to be cut so grass was long. Frocester Hill viewpoint, Uley Bury fort, and Prema, a charming arts centre with cafe at Uley were all nearby. Woodchester NT woods and mansion, and the artsy village of Nailsworth are a bit further, plus Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust and Westonbirt Arboretum. The owners did not make themselves known and there is little information, but this is a hands-off approach which is fine by us!

Beautiful site
We followed the directions in the book and found our way easily to this wonderful site. The farm itself is in a picturesque setting and we were blessed with stunning sunsets each evening. The only noise were the birds and the faint tune of the church bells which added to the atmosphere. The owners were helpful but not intrusive and we enjoyed a very relaxed weekend.
