Extended Bank Holiday stay

We've recently returned from an 11 night stay here culminating over August Bank Holiday and what a lovely place to stay! We were slightly confused by the directions but a google earth/maps view can easily spot the location and access is very straight forward. But do try and avoid accessing through the village of Kineton with its very narrow and twisting roads with loads of parked cars. Arriving and departing from the south, we found J13 of the M40 the best option The field is lawned and neatly finished off with a few fruit trees and geraniums in pots offering a wonderful view over fields in the foreground and hills beyond (pitches spaces marked out during semi-lockdown). The field is on a gentle slope and levelling blocks would be useful. We didn't need them but others on site did. The water point and CDP are easily accessible towards the farmhouse side of the field whilst the bins (including recycling) at the top by the entrance. It is on a working farm and there are also some holiday lets on-site, as well as a large rally field which was being used whilst we were there so it isn't the quietest site. However, none of that stopped us from having an incredibly relaxing stay with the kids which is quite something given the fact we like quiet sites, and actually a little activity adds some interest. There are so many walks directly from the site through fields offering wonderful views meaning you don't have to travel off-site to get out and about even though there are several National Trust properties and Burton Dassett Country Park all within a few minutes drive. There was some very heavy rain during our stay but the site drains well. However, we had to be towed off the field by a kind and friendly neighbour in the adjacent pitch as the grass was very greasy and I couldn't grip it as we don't have a 4x4. Re-reading that, the review sounds a bit negative but our stay was really was great. I suppose I've just highlighted a few small glitches - in fact, we were surprised that there were plenty of nights when the site was far from full with us being the only ones on site some nights! We are definitely looking forward to returning and is on our shortlist of top sites!

Return Visit

Its been some time since we used this CL 2017 actually, we are not sure why because the site is immaculate and very well kept with a fab outlook. Carolyn as put provisions in to sanitise the service area and allows you to pay via BACS.. Perfect in these times. The Grass is cut and kept nice and the Space in between the pitches is marked clearly.. Water Quality Good TV Signal Good a great stay at this little Gem. We will return soon.

1st Visit but not the last

We have just spent 4 nights at this great CL. Must be 1 of the best for access, straight down the drive and into the field. We were the only unit there apart for 1 night, which is amazing really when you consider that the site has Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford On Avon, and the motor Museum at Gaydon all within a 15 - 20 min drive. The site is really good plenty of space, it has a slight slope but levelling is easy. It is a site we will be back to soon.

A welcome return

Last year we visited twice on route and returning. So this time we went for 4 nights. I can’t understand why this site is not full. Access is very easy even for the biggest units and the field so large that you can spread out. My wife commented that she could not recall so much bird song and beyond that the place is very quiet. The field slopes but levelling is easy and the view is to die for. Easy drive to Leamington with its lovely architecture and independent shops as well as Jephson gardens. Also Stratford. About 15 miles away is the north Cotswolds centred on Chipping Campden. 3 national trust properties nearby. We shall return.

Great Value For Money

We revisited this CL after a five year gap and it did not disappoint. Easy access from the main road, close mown slightly sloping field (but easy to get level). Fab views and great walking in every direction from the CL - excellent if you have a dog or just love the great outdoors. Ideal for visiting the north Cotswolds, Warwick, Stratford and Leamington. Close to several NT properties. If you're happy to use your own facilities, then at £13 a night this CL offers great value for money - we recently stopped at the club site at Moreton in Marsh and it was coming in at a whopping £34.50 per night. Quite a difference. Hope to see you again in the not too distant future.

Perfect CL we loved it.

We have just arrived home from a two nights stay over the weekend. The site is just perfect so peaceful and the views are stunning. We only live 17 miles away but it felt like another world. The owners are great with booking and also changing our weekend when our teenager double booked herself ! The site has loads of places of interest around and we used our New National trust cards for the first time. There is loads of walking around here and my hubby found lots of trails to run on the Saturday morning. The only issue we had was over night it rained and rained and we got stuck trying to leave the field our Rav 4 just hadn't got enough poke to get us out. The owners quickly spotted we were needing some help and gave us a tow out. We are still fairly new to caravans so rookie error maybe not to have parked at the top of the field. All in all we loved this site and would return anytime.

Tranquil CL with rural views.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a return trip from Cornwall. A very peaceful sight with fine views of the countryside. Plenty of room for pitching on a slightly sloping site with good access from the road. Lots of walks from the site with or without a dog in nice countryside with pretty villages. Good site to visit local attractions such as Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle and a host of National Trust properties in the area and not forgetting the motor museum Gaydon. Definitely visit this site again when seeing friends in the area.

Lovely week here

Arrived here on the Saturday of bank holiday weekend and got last pitch but although full we had plenty of room between pitches. Great dog walks, beautiful views! Working agricultural farm so no livestock but tractors going past which didn’t bother us, it isn’t constant. Had a happy few hours watching them load bales. Went into Stratford a few times and walked all through the park and down by the canal. Most of the time we just chilled out at the caravan as after the wk end everyone went home so we had the whole site to ourselves for the next week. It is as the pictures, slight slope so you will need blocks. We made the mistake of following the SatNav on arrival which took us to Lodge Farm which is the opposite side of the road, so go down the lane opposite Lodge Farm and as you see a red brick house on your left there are two driveways straight ahead of you and take the tarmac one. Excellent access. Was quite wow-ed by the lovely view! Thank you Carolyn!

First class

This CL is a large open field with lovely views. It is difficult to know which is the best pitch to choose. Access is very easy and clearly signed. The road to the site is wider than it appears on Google Earth and has plenty of passing places although I suspect it gets little traffic. Facilities are nearby. Be warned not to use sat nav as it takes you to a totally different place.

Lovely Site.

We have visited this lovely site 3 times in three years the last time just 2 weeks ago. We love it very quiet, well kept and lovely views. Owner very friendly and helpful. Ideal for visiting the Cotswolds area.
