Lovely site

Stayed in sept 2021, called to book but was told to book on the website which was easy enough to do. On arrival we worked out where everything was… water tap at the entrance of the cl site, Elsan close by. Electric hook up easy. Called them to let them know we arrived and they said to pop by the kiosk for our welcome pack which we did. Had a bit of info on where everything is. On site is a shopping village with a cafe, garden centre, and a few shops to look around. A kids playground area, which we didn’t use. Three sign posted walks around the estate that went along the locks and the Hatton arms pub. All really nice. The site it’s self is fairly quiet, we didn’t hear any noise from the kids area. The views from the cl site are great. Surrounded by fields. We had a very nice time relaxing here and walking to the pub and cafes close by. Would recommend this site. We have our own facilities so can’t comment on toilets/ showers etc.

Great weekend

Stayed on the Caravan clubs CL site, great views, loveley walks and overall a nice peacefull site. Drinking water and waste point were close by, no toilest or shower facility but we knew that when we booked. had a great weekend there and would stop again for sure. (it's hardly a main road, it's the entrance to the staff carpark and only a handfull of cars entered and left)

long weekend in October

We were pleasantly surprised after reading other reviews on this site. Access to facilities on site was easy if not close. The views were pleasant. Staff were friendly. Shopping village was excellent and a mile walk to the Hatton Arms for Sunday lunch was well worth it. Would be very happy to stay here again.

6 night stay

Initially disappointed as when we booked over the phone with a very helpful person confirming we were booked on pitch 5. We had no trouble getting there, very easy to find, I always do the last part of the journey on Google earth before we set off. On arrival only one pitch was available in pitch one which was right next to the road. We went to the kiosk to express our disappointment to be told they never book people on specific pitches. This even though the pitches are numbered and so is their book. We had no choice but to go on pitch one. The caravan pitches are through a gap in a hedge. The park staff showed no consideration and came through at speed. Children & dogs may be around & they would have no chance of stopping. I would suggest a 10mph speed limit be imposed to prevent the unthinkable happening. The earliest we were disturbed was 3 am, not good. All that said the site is handy for local places of interest, I would look for alternatives next time.

Very disappointing visit

Booked in here for 2 nights on our way to NEC in February 18. No signage on arrival, so we ended up in the wrong car park, however a very nice lady in the shop redirected us, not too traumatic with a Motorhome. After following directions we found the CL nothing like the pictures on this page. The gravel pitches could look so much better with some maintenance. One of the pitches appears to be occupied permanently by staff, I may be wrong, this is just my impression. No signs as to where we should book in and pay, who knows where the kiosk is! The toilets are a 10 minute walk away at the shops, apparently they are open all night, well I for one was not walking all that way in the dark. We asked about the grey water Motorhome emptying point. We haven’t got one we we told. So how do we get rid of our grey water we asked, reply shoulder shrug. Not an enjoyable will not be returning.

Useful location

Three nights spent here with M/Home following a visit to the NEC show. Good access from the motorway/ main road system. The addition of HS to the pitches was welcome given the inclement weather. The grass between the pitches was rather long but, to be fair, it was the end of the main tourist season and the weather probably hadn't enabled a cut. Good walking for the "doggie brigade" and Warwick is three miles along the canal towpath. Something to do on site with a number of artisan/craft shops. The NEC and Stratford upon Avon are within easy reach.

Better signs

On arrival to the site we went the wrong way as there is a sign for camping ground and ended up in a car park not the best place with a long outfit.  On finding the cl site which is signed on the hedge next to the site which is around 300m from the entrance. Price is £13.95 but you need to leave a £50 deposit if you want to leave or enter after 8 The site its self is great for walks and dog owners as well as for visiting Warwick and it's surprising area. Of a night it's very peaceful I would use again only thing that put us off was the £50 deposit just in case we needed to leave

A bit disappointed

Site now has 5 hardstandings all with electric, price now £13. 95 per night. You book in at the shop/admission kiosk. No-one tells you where anything is. We came across the Elsan point and found fresh water tap alongside, this needs labelling as 'drinking water only'. The toilets are inside the shopping village and there is no motorhome disposal point as listed in CC book. The CC book also shows public transport nearby but no-one at the site could tell us where. This is primarily a visitor attraction with the shopping village for adults and park/farm for children. If taking children be aware that the park attractions cost £9. 95 per child AND £8. 95 per accompanying adult PER DAY which is absurd seeing as adults can't actually do anything in the park apart from look at the animals. Without children this site is ideally situated for local attractions of Warwick/Stratford etc. Website gives the impression that the Hatton Arms pub is on site but it is about a mile walk away. Some staff totally unaware that there is even a campsite there at all. Food in the cafe was sold out by 1pm. Gates are supposed to be locked after 8pm so you need to leave £50 deposit for fob to leave or enter site after 8pm. We walked to the pub, returning at 9.30pm to find gates still open, no sign of anyone in Country World, so you feel very isolated and very insecure at night. Overall a disappointing visit. Could be such a good site if only someone could be bothered to sort it.

Vast Improvement

We decided to give this CL another try after seeing that electric had been put on the site, on arriving the first thing we noticed was the new sign indicating where the CL was, and pulling onto the site found all pitches are now hardstanding and level. the Elson was a lot cleaner with no rubbish around but would still like to see a lid to cover it. Once again it is a great base to visit local places of interest and would use this site again if in the area

Excellent Site...But needs better maintenance

On arrival there was of no indication of where the CL was located, we had to ask a man who was cutting the grass. After going through the car park and through a gap in the hedge there was a sign on the site. All of the pitches were very uneven as they are under trees. We were the only caravan on the site so was surprised when we went for water that there was an overflowing bin of rubbish next to the Elson which was a buried toilet with no lid and it was filled with rubbish from the bins, we were there for 5 nights and when we left the rubbish was still there. We noticed there were a lot of crows pulling the rubbish about. On the plus side it is an excellent place to be based for walking to Hatton locks, close to Warwick. Hatton Country World is an ideal place to wander over to with several shops and an ideal place for kids we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It does need better signing to the CL and regular maintenance of the rubbish
