We selected this site as it advertised hardstandings. The CL area does NOT have hardstandings and due to the wet and boggy condition of the CL field we were told (after we got bogged down) we could use the car park instead. However, this farm site is open to the general public as it houses three separate franchises and is a popular start point for walks. So we had to wait until after 5pm when these other places had closed before a space became available. We moved to another CL after just one night and in the morning people were already using the car park before we left mid-morning. I would imagine during drier and warmer months this CL would be a nice place to stay as it is at the bottom of the farm site overlooking the valley with its lake. However, it should not advertise this CL as being open all year with hardstandings.

Many thanks for leaving a review and we are sorry to read you had difficulties at this site. We would like to assure you that the CL Owners are working hard to improve the CL Site and we are working closely with them to help make these improvements. As such the CL is now closed over the winter period to prevent this type of situation arising again and we have updated their website listing. We have also taken the shared toilet and showers off their website listing as they are not available. The facilities are due to be rebuilt early next year when the CL will hopefully get new and exclusive toilet and showers.
