Level pitches and powerful shower

Stayed here for a few nights with our baby girl in June. Site is easy to get to from A roads and offers fully serviced level pitches for an easy setup. There are picnic tables next to the pitches which could do with a parasol in summer but are a nice place to have lunch. Cows come past the pitches daily which my daughter loved. Easy to get to both Kendal and Windermere by car. The shower/toilet cabin was clean and new and the shower warm and powerful. Would definitely come back in the future. No WiFi and mobile signal not great but we like being cut off when we go away so didn't bother us.

A little gem

A new CL set on a working dairy farm with 3 glamping pods as well. You will see the cows walking past your outfit twice daily for milking ( fenced off obviously). A faint pong, but you soon get used to it. Fully serviced, open and sunny pitches on hard standing. Each with their own picnic bench which is a delightful touch. A small but clean shower and toilet which we did not use as we prefer our own facilities. Eggs available to buy on site. Jane is absolutely lovely, really pleasant. Nearest town and shopping is Kendal approx 15 mins away. A pub (Black Labrador) in walking distance. A great place to walk across top of Scout Scar as the car park (free) is only 5-10mins away. Had a lovely week there. n.b. no WiFi but we struggled with this across The Lake District.

Half Term Break

On arrival the owners couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The site itself is in a beautiful location situated on a working farm with rolling hills whichever way you look. Pubs within walking distance and a number of dog walks in close proximity. Ideally located for visiting Kendal & Bowness on Windermere. Clean toilet/shower facilities and the pitches themselves are huge with EHU, fresh water and grey water waste. Will certainly be returning! 5*

Short break in May

We’ve just stayed 3 nights at this wonderful new site. We received a very warm & friendly welcome from Jane - only too happy to help, answer any queries. The site pitches are spacious and have all the facilities req. The new shower & toilet pod is super - the best we used on a CL site and there’s plenty of piping hot water. Being next to a working farm we could watch the cows coming in each day to be milked which was lovely. There’s a very good pub a short distance away serving food and some lovely walks directly from the site. We will be visiting regularly we hope as this is a lovely site.

Bank Holiday Break

What a lovely site, welcomed on site by Jane on arrival. Fully serviced pitches with a little toilet/shower pod and the fantastic location makes this one of the best CL's we have visited. The site is brand new and had only been open for two weeks before we arrived, it is very evident how much hard work has been put into creating this site to a very high standard. Pitches are hard standing and there is a lot of space to allow reversing, removing the need to unhook and use the mover. We had kids in tow along with another family, there was enough space for the kids to run around and let off steam. My only complaint would be that its going to be booked months in advance once people discover it. Would definitely book again.

First outing 2021

This quiet and peaceful newish site is conveniently situated between Kendal and Bowness. The amenities are well kept offering EHU, own water and grey waste. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. There is a fabulous pub within a five minutes walk (The Black Labrador). Serves great food and beer. We did some wonderful walks that were literally on the doorstep with simply breathtaking views. There are also glamping pods available for those who want to bring family/friends. Overall a wonderful 2 night break.
