Lovely quiet site where you can get away from it all. All you can hear is the birdsong. Right by the coastal walks good walk down to Salcombe Harbour not too arduous and lovely to watch the boats in and out of Salcombe, Mill Bay and other small nearby beaches fine sand. Ferry across to Salcombe is far easier than driving and pleasant trip for seeing the sights/shopping. Good walk down to bay below Gara Rock another good beach. Gara Rock Restaurant down the road though shame it does not serve evening meals, last orders 4.30pm. Nice local ice cream. Frogmore village has an excellent Bakery where everything is baked on the premises. Plenty of small village shops and good selection at Ashbys station on the road into Kingsbridge. Start bay not far away and also good farm shop/garden centre/cafe etc en-route, just below Caravan Club Site entrance. Fresh Eggs for sale not far from the site. Narrow lanes to access but not a problem if you take care. Please do not use Satnav and follow club directions. Very good printed local information supplied by site owner that you can obtain on arrival. Peaceful relaxing break.
