We have just come back from a seven night stay in this idilic CL. This is a perfect example why the Caravan Club membership is worth every penny. From this stay (in fact from the first 24 hours), we'd happily come back here again.
Travelling in via the A303, A356 and along from Crewkerne was no problem. Also having driven the roads to Illminster and Chard, these routes would be fine also.
The site requires levelling blocks in pretty much every spot, however the owners have provided some blocks of wood for your steadies if needed. We had no issues levelling here.
You overlook some stunning Somerset country side, and are rewarded with amazing sunsets, some of the best I've had the pleasure of watching for some time. I was happy just socking up the view while the kids went off and talked to the cows. It's a good sized field which is well kept so you don't feel on top of the other people staying.
The owners are a friendly couple who are happy for you to explore the farm. Our two kids loved seeing the cows and sheep; our son loved the tractors :-)
Logistically, we had good FM Radio reception (TV on sat). Mobile wise, o2 good GSM, EE good 3G signals. Site had waste, recycling and food composting. Water is fed from an underground spring and tastes lovely; I wonder why they don't bottle it.
Overall, we'll happily go back if in that neck of the woods again. More than happy to recommend it.
