Just stunning

A long driveway up to the CL then WOW what a view ! A lovely warm welcome by Donald and Cynthia. You feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere. Site well kept, levelling blocks required, stunning views and gorgeous sunsets. Can be a little exposed but hey you are on top of the hill. Would have been nice to have the water tap at the top of the site but that's our only gripe and only because we are of a certain age !! One we will be returning too.

What a find

Superb gem of a find. Beautifully cared for lawned pitches, immaculate facilities, views to die for and sunsets to gaze at. Donald and Cynthia were so welcoming as was Bob the collie. Each outfit is supplied with a folder of local information and kept up to date. There is no set time to arrive or depart and there is always a cheery wave as the tractors pass by. Definately a tranquil site to return to especially if you enjoy watching the buzzards and general wildlife.

A great CL

We booked and stayed here for one night on our way home from deepest Devon. What a tranquil spot and what a view! We were just sad that we only had the one night but at least we were able to enjoy a magnificent sunset behind the view of the Blackdown Hills and The Quantocks with Exmoor in the background. The site is nicely landscaped grass planted with some young native trees. It is on a slight slope but this makes for the nice view. The whole site was lovingly maintained. Mr and Mrs Brown were very welcoming and gave us some useful advice about the area which we hope to be able to use when we return for a longer visit to explore Somerset and Dorset.

Hill Farm

We have been visiting this CL for many years at all times of the year, it is a stunning location with brilliant hosts always welcoming. The local pub Dinnington Docks just adds even more to the overall enjoyment of the area. The sunsets are truly spectacular across the valley. We arrived during half term and the grass had just been cut it looked superb and Beech hedge planted years ago has now become a lovely addition to the site. A real hidden gem. Manny thanks to Donald and Cynthia for giving us such a lovely CL

A beautifully kept site with equally beautiful views

We have just come back from a seven night stay in this idilic CL. This is a perfect example why the Caravan Club membership is worth every penny. From this stay (in fact from the first 24 hours), we'd happily come back here again. Travelling in via the A303, A356 and along from Crewkerne was no problem. Also having driven the roads to Illminster and Chard, these routes would be fine also. The site requires levelling blocks in pretty much every spot, however the owners have provided some blocks of wood for your steadies if needed. We had no issues levelling here. You overlook some stunning Somerset country side, and are rewarded with amazing sunsets, some of the best I've had the pleasure of watching for some time. I was happy just socking up the view while the kids went off and talked to the cows. It's a good sized field which is well kept so you don't feel on top of the other people staying. The owners are a friendly couple who are happy for you to explore the farm. Our two kids loved seeing the cows and sheep; our son loved the tractors :-) Logistically, we had good FM Radio reception (TV on sat). Mobile wise, o2 good GSM, EE good 3G signals. Site had waste, recycling and food composting. Water is fed from an underground spring and tastes lovely; I wonder why they don't bottle it. Overall, we'll happily go back if in that neck of the woods again. More than happy to recommend it.

Hidden Gem in Somerset

We have stayed at Hill Farm for several years now and I have to write and share the secret,It truly is a hiddem Gem of a cl.Just of the A30 with easy access even with our twin axle unit,Amazing views across Somerset and into Devon and some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.Very rural site and so peaceful yet only 20 minutes away from Yeovil and Bridport with the Dorset coast. The owners Donald and Cynthia are very friendly, helpful and know so much about the local area and beyond. They have made a very useful welcome folder with local attractions and places of interest, The water comes straight from the ground and tastes great,Plenty of walking around the farm and beyond. All in all a fantastic cl if your staying for one night of 28 nights I cannot think of a better place to stay
