Great Stopover.

Staying for one night travelling up to Scotland in our camper. Reasonably quiet location. Farm shop and facilities are new and look good. Some odours from the animals. Ground was dry. Needed some levelling. Would definitely come back again.

not sure

we have just got back from this site. Make sure if its been raining that you have wellies as it get water logged in places. it is on a road that leads to a farm and can get very noisy and even during the night as their are some wind turbines. the owner is helpful. would we go again not sure.

Fantastic 1st CL Site

Having recently purchased our 2nd motorhome, this is the first ever CL site we had stayed on but were not disappointed. Site owner Martin is just a real nice guy and made us feel very welcome from the moment we rang up to make our booking. This site is a credit to the time and money he has spent on it to date and we cannot wait to return when the shop and cafe are completed. Outstanding views with a variety of animals in the surrounding fields including Alpacas, sheep and donkeys. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing few days away on a friendly, well kept site with all services available then I would definitely recommend a visit to Hill Top Farm.

A very pleasant new site

Very helpful owner Martin who has done a lot of work on the site. The Cafe/ Shop was not yet completed/opened when we visited not that it was something that spoilt the visit. We walked into Melton Mowbray which is not too far. The site was nicely kept - we were the only ones there for the two nights we stayed. We nearly canceled as we thought there was no electricity but it had been recently installed. Site is on a very slight slope but easy to level the motorhome with a couple of ramps. Would recommend and will use again if we are in the area

Beautiful Site

This was our 4th outing as newbie members of CMC. A great new little CL which will quickly become very popular. The farm shop/cafe isn't yet open but once it is up and running will be a great attraction and is sure to be very well used by members. The site is extremely well landscaped and the 5 pitches offer a great view of the surrounding countryside. Levellers are needed as the site does slope away. The animals are great, very curious! Raspberry and Mango the alpacas and the show sheep are extremely friendly. Good luck for the upcoming shows! We walked down to Melton - about 20-30 mins walk and lots to see. Martin was a great host - very welcoming.. We'll be back!

What a lovely site with an amazing owner.

We're new to Caravanning & wanted somewhere local to get into the swing of things, we came across this amazing CL close by, the site overlooks Meltons beautiful countryside & with it being a working farm, kids will absolutely love it as they've a wide array of animals from Donkeys, Alpacas to sheep & cows. The site is incredibly well kept & maintained, quite throughout the day & night with the site located down a quiet private road. We will certainly be back in the near future and with more experience between us. Thank you so much Martin for a truly incredible first outing in our new van.

Lovely site with good views

This is a fairly new site but it is immaculate and very attractive. As I write the café and shop are nearly complete and will be ready for Easter. Apparently the café will provide full English breakfasts which I am sure will be a hit with caravanners! The whole site has been well laid out with lots of new trees planted., This will ensure that in future when they mature there will be lots of shade, The field is a generous size so that caravans are not on top of each other. Note: In the book it says there is no electricity but cables are now being laid to provide electricity hook up in the very near future. It is very quiet on a dead end lane so that there is really no passing traffic. Highly recommended. Near to Melton Mowbray which is an interesting town with lots of restaurants and history. There is also a nature reserve nearby. The owner also picks up cut grass so that your caravan does not get full of cuttings.
