Warm welcome

We enjoyed our stay on this site, particularly the hospitality from Will and Sophie. A very well maintained area and clean WC. Plenty of space and stunning views of the Malvern Hills. Easy accessible. Recommend the Swan at Hanley Swann for great food. Will is an exceptional young man. Do purchase his bacon and sausages, home reared and delicious.

Excellent CL in lovely and interesting setting

Really good CL. Motorhome + electricity £20 per night. Very warm and helpful welcome from Will. Excellent facilities and a bonus having a show jumping event to wake up to on the Sunday. Really good area for walking and cycling.

Really helpful owner

We used this site as a stop over, on our way to Cornwall. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Great pub about a mile away with a lovely dog walking footpath to get there. The grass was wet so the owner found us a very cosy hard standing because our motorhome is not great on wet grass. Sadly we (and everybody else) were awake most of the night due to a loud high pitch whine from the nearby industrial estate. I don’t think the noise had ever been heard before, so just bad luck. Didn’t see much more than the pub as we left early, but we don’t blame the site at all. Just bad luck.

Lovely CL with great views

We stayed at this CL for 2 nights in July, as we wanted to walk the southern Malverns. We were welcomed by a very polite and knowledgeable young lad who gave us all the information we needed and even offered us a hose to fill up the van with water. The owner's family were also friendly, giving us a wave or cheery greeting as they passed by. The toilet was clean and tidy and the waste facilities well-maintained. The EHU points are all along one side of the field so you can go off-grid and pitch further away if you prefer. The field is nice and flat and well-drained. It was fun to watch all the horsey goings-on, with lessons in the little arena and ponies in the surrounding paddocks. We walked from the site to the hills every day - it's about 30 minutes to the start of the climb. We enjoyed our stay and would return again if we wanted to do more walking in the area.

Fantastic site and a great welcome

We have just stayed for 3 nights at Hillview Stables and had a great time. The welcome from Sophie, Will and Ollie was just fantastic. The site is immaculate and has a great view of the Malvern hills. We walked on the Malverns for 2 days and the views are spectacular. An added bonus was a showjumping competition their first one since release of lockdown and it was great fun and very entertaining. We highly recommend this site. Pete and Marina Newman

Lovley CL

We were recommeneded this Cl as friends have used it in the past. What a great find within walking distance of the Three Counties Showground, making it perfect for us as we were exhibiting at a show, but wanted the flexability of being off site and having electric. There arent many Cl's where you can also watch a horse event whilst eating your lunch. This site is very peaceful even with the event on sunday we didnt here any of the horse boxes arriving and unloading, there is an added bonus of a caravan accessory shop just down the road too. Sophie and her son were extremly welcoming and we will certainly be coming back again in the future.

Stunning scenery, clean facilities, warm welcome.

Very easy to find CL as you just follow the signs for the 3 Counties Showground. Arrival is easy via the livery stables and the welcome more than warm. Can't remember every being welcomed by someone on a horse before! The view is to absolutely die for. The full-on Malvern Hills at their most stunning best and there is a bridleway directly opposite the site entrance that leads to Malvern Wells and access to the Hills for walkers/horse riders. I agree its a bit of a shame that all the electrics are along one side of the site so will take a longer mains lead next time. Luckily this didn't affect us this weekend and we had a front seat to the view. The CL is adjacent to the showground so probably gets booked up on certain weekends and it is an easy walk (bridleway continuing down the arrival road) to Hanley Swan and its lovely duck pond. Cycling in this area is not too bad either. The equestrian centre/livery stables were lively. There was show jumping on the Saturday and dressage on the Sunday. However, horses don't make a lot of noise and it was a pleasure to watch as the participants were mostly youngsters. The facilities were superbly clean but they are not necessarily exclusive to CL visitors when there are horse events ongoing. The upside of this is that there was some catering during the events - even Nutella paninis (no, we didn't try) - someone knows their market !!! All-in-all, will we return - absolutely - do we recommend - yes, so long as you don't make it full when we want to visit!

Lovely CL and owners

We stayed here on the 10th April for 6 nights. The access to the CL was easy to follow with the directions from the book. Sophie, who owns the Livery came to greet us and showed us where the facilities were, IE water,Elsan and new toilet block (which was pristine with lovely horseshoe decoration). The electrics are along one fence, but we had a long electric lead and placed ourselves with the view of the Malvern Hills. The scenery is stunning, looking at the hills. The CL is ideal for visiting the 3 Counties Showground, which is only 1/2 a mile away. There is slight road noise, but you are two fields away from this and the noise is only slight, as the road is not that busy, plus the noise does die down during the evening. Would recommend this CL, as it was a great base for walking the Malvern Hills and visiting surrounding areas, IE Upton upon Severn and Worcester.

Last Minute Booking.

We had pre booked a site to visit the Welland Steam Fair. The pre booked site turned out not to be suitable so a look through the directory pointed us towards Hillview. We were fortunate to take a cancellation for that day and the location could not have been closer to the show. The owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for two nights and would be happy to return again. The weather had been dry so the field was nice and firm with just a gentle slope easily corrected for our motorhome. Good and not so good.

We visited this site for a long weekend in May. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and given advice on pitching as there had been a lot of rain and the field was very muddy in places. The site is within walking distance of the Three Counties Showground. The Malvern Hills are only a short drive away. On the downside, it's a fairly large field but pitching options are limited as all the EHU's are along one side of the field, this means that unless you have an extra lead all units are pitched close to each other at one end of the field. The grass had been cut, but it hadn't been collected, so there was a lot of loose wet grass sticking to boots shoes etc. There were six units on site on our second day, one of them, a fairly large campervan, was pitched very close to our caravan and this restricted our view slightly. There is a lot of road noise from the nearby busy Gloucester Road so we wouldn't really describe the site as quiet and peaceful. All in all the site is ok, the owner is friendly, but due to the limited pitching options, lack of facilities, noise and the state of the field I don't think it's worth £14 per night. This is an increase of 40% on the (still) advertised price and something to consider when deciding to book.
