An unexpected surprise in a beautiful setting
The site was ideal for all year round use because of the hardstanding. We were given a very warm welcome by the Museum curators who were helpful and friendly. The views from the pitches facing the Solway Firth were amazing. The site was quiet even when visitors arrived to visit the Museum. We would highly recommend the circular walk direct from the site along the coast to Carsethorn although you will need sturdy footwear. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, topped off by a meal at the Steamboat Inn. Thank you for a most enjoyable short break.
