Nice tranquil site

We stayed here mid-July 2014.  Lovely woodland walks around lake and a bird hide.  Although no showers, toilet facilities were clean.  Waste water and toilet emptying facilities had ease of access and were clean.  A very pretty and well maintained site.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE FLIES THIS IS NOT FOR YOU

We had a week here in 2013 and still have the bite marks to show for our pains! The site is not too bad very steep slope for caravans flat for motor homes and a bit pricey for what there is [toilet & washing]  Be aware of the man eating Welsh MIDGE.

Watch out for the midges

The site is quite spacious, although the pitches on your right as you come in are on a slope but further round they are flatter. Access is good. The site was on the right as described (through the red gates) just after the ‘S’ bends. We saw very little of the wardens. Not a lot of local information given except for some leaflets by the bins/toilet. The site is an excellent location for exploring the hills of northern Snowdonia, Anglesey and the coast in general with many castles nearby. The only problem we had were the horrendous midges. There was just so many of them that we were being eaten alive. The person in the next caravan told us he was going to leave early due to this. This problem is likely to be due to the ponds, which are lovely to look at with the ducks and ducklings. The gardens are lovely to wander around too.

Peace and quiet.

Having spent 5 days here this month, I can honestly say I have never been to a more peaceful site.Yes the toilet block is basic just one toilet, and no shower and the pitches are quite small 3 hardstanding and the rest grass. This is more than made up for with the surroundings the gardens which you are free to go and wander and sit in are just beautiful. If you are after an all singing and dancing site this is not for you, if it"s peace and quiet, and a 10 minute walk from the site into Bethesda for shopping then it"s perfect for you.It also has bed and breakfast accomodation and 2 holiday cottages if friends and family would like to join you.
