Disappointing Site

The site is easy to find and has good pitches. However, no welcome from owners, we were told to pitch anywhere be another guest. Easy pitch has is own water supply and gray water. There are 2 toilet/shower units. They were clean but they were cold and poorly maintained. The site was registered for 5 units but at the time of visiting it was accomdating 7 units.

Great site

Site was easy to find and had good a approach to it. We have just spent 4 nights there with 2 girls, we called beforehand to see if there was room for our girls to ride their bike's, we were told yes there was a gras strip the length of 5 pitches.  We arrived and were greeted by one of the owners, and told to pitch up where we liked, you are on a CL you don't need much help to be honest.  All pitches have water tap so the use of a mains water is really helpful(one less job to do) mains cable is within reach of the pitch and waste water runs down a drain pipe to a ditch( 2nd less job to do).  Site is all gravel pitches with a nice pice of grass to the side to use. In front of you is another piece of grassed area to use, where our girls rode their bikes all weekend.  The site also offers two toilets and showers (20p) which I didn't time but  well timed for a shower, and which were very clean and well stocked with toilet roll and soap.  Closet disposal is near the toilets as well is the recycle bins. All in all a very well kept CL site.

Good Site

Me and my Son stayed here for 4 nights for the October half term holiday. The site is very easy to find using the instructions in The Sites Book. There was no one to meet us or show us where things were, but that was not a problem as the pitch locations are clear. All are hardstanding and there is a tap and drainage for each pitch which made for a nice easy week with practically no jobs to do. When we met Mrs. Acton to pay, she was very friendly. My son enjoyed himself playing football with her two boys. Thank you very much too them. All in all, a lovely site within easy reach of all Blackpool attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Good Site

As others have said, this is not a very big site but each pitch is laid out with grass and hard standing, also, the waste water runs into a gutter and then into the hedge, great. The toilet and shower is to a high standard, the shower is only 40p. We weren't greeted on arrival and other caravaners showed us what to do and which side of the pitch to put the caravan, awning and car, which is different to the usual format. We would go again.

Will return

Just spent a weekend here and will certainly return. Peace and quiet easily found on this lovely site. Water supply and drainage for each van made things  so much easier. ill be leaving the water barrel and waste at home next time! Easy to drive into Lythm or Blackpool. Had a fabulous weekend, thank you.  Small note: caravan site sign is low down on the left. Keep an eye open, not great for turning if you miss the sign and entrance!

Convenient for the beach!

We rocked up on a Saturday and found a clean, well kept site with part gravel part grass pitches. The pitches are a bit close together for my liking but all the guests were quiet and respected each other's privacy. Don't listen to the other reviews about aircraft noise, you really can hear them and they can be loud but only during the day and let's face it you're off sightseeing during the day so it's not a big deal. I really like the drains for sink waste water which saves you having to lug the waste water carrier around. The site is really convenient for the Blackpool sights too.

Good Value for money CL.

Motorhome, Visited November 2012. Seniors. This is a very nice, quiet CL. Although it's located near the Airport, there is almost no noise and none at night. The bus stop is about 0.25 miles from the site with easy access to Blackpool. You can also easily walk to St.Annes. The site is easy to find but don't use Sat Nav. As you turn by the Garden Centre, there is a 6'6 width limit sign but the road is not that narrow to the site and is not a problem.

A peacefull haven close to the Fylde close and all its attractions.

Well off the major routes and subsequent traffic noise, yet easily accessible on a relatively quiet lane, in a lovely garden setting. All hardstanding, a blessing this year, with water and drain at each pitch. Shower and toilet (*2) available although take plenty of 20 p's for the shower. There is very occasionally some passing traffic noise, and, being close to the Blackpool Airport runway, (see Google Maps) there is some aircraft noise, again very occasionally and nothing overnight. Overall good value for money being so close and convenient for Blackpool and Lytham St Annes.

Beechwood

Set in a pleasant and quite area with some good dog walking areas all around. Easy reach of Lytham and Blackpool but its a drive (10 mins) Follow directions in CC book NOT sat-nav like we did. Caravan dealers nearby should you need anything. Our only gripe is the owner was away and we didnt see anyone except the daughter on 1st day to pay, very poor welcome but we are adults and dont need our hands holding. If you want peace and quite surroundings then this is fine with plenty space.
