Winter break

Very warm welcome from the owners and a perfect spot for a cold week in Dorset. Lots of geese, hens, wild birds on site as well as Kim and Paul's lovely dogs. Would be too tight a squeeze for a big unit but approach and directions were fine. Lots of walks in the area and the coast close by. Loved Beaminster and surrounding villages. This is a site and area we will return to. Thank you Kim and Paul.

Beautiful Beaminster

Very quiet, but equally lovely site. Great location for walking and cycling and the lovely West Bay is only a few miles away. We were made very welcome by Kim and Paul and even more so by Daisy Dog. Would highly recommend

Good Value site

Lovely quiet site, good base for ideal for walking and with plenty to do in the area. Kim and her dogs made us very welcome. Kim supplied us with a useful up- to- date information pack. Site well laid out and TV reception good. Good Value.

Great value & warm welcome

This is a site with easy acess from a main road and yet is in a very beautiful rural area. Kim made us very welcome and the info pack was a great help. We think it would be a little snug if all 5 pitches were taken but we only had one neighbour for our 10 day stay & often had the site to ourselves which made it perfect for us! The company of the geese and dogs made for an interesting stay and our children even spotted a deer in the top field one day. The fact you are welcome to walk round into the new wood that has been planted means you have a great sense of space & the view is lovely! We so enjoyed Dorset's delightful coast line and wonderful rolling countryside. This was a great base to explore from, we even strayed into Devon occasionally! Electrics, water, chemical disposal and rubbish/recycling all good, well laid out and accessible. We would love to make a return visit.

One visit will not be enough!

Kitwhistle Barn is to be highly recommended. Access is easy and there is plenty of space on the site. Paul and Kim provide a warm welcome and having lived in the area for many years are a fund of local knowledge. Their small holding with poultry, a horse and friendly dogs provides a nice rural atmosphere. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with a wealth of picturesque towns and villages, stately homes and gardens to visit, not to mention the stunning coastline within a short drive. Dorset has so much to offer and this CL is the perfect base.

A must!

Easy to find, this beautiful site is nestled in a well-mown field on a small holding where ducks, geese and the owners' dogs freely roam......an idyllic, peaceful getaway! Paul and Kim were very welcoming and accommodating - an informative pack was given on arrival from which we took two ideas to eat out - both were excellent - The Steak Out in Beaminster and the Fox Inn at Corscombe.  As a dog owner, it's always important that the site caters well for our two mutts.....and the dog walking field up the hill at the back of the site was absolutely brilliant - apart from the fabulous view, it was a great workout for me!  Would highly recommend this site - we will definitely mark this as one to re-visit. Thanks Paul and Kim ??

Small holding beauty

Arrived here within the beauty of Beaminster downs. A small holding packed with natural surroundings and a peaceful setting for those that enjoy the basic and natural way of life. Ducks, geese and two beautiful dogs walk around the site and the dog walk at the back of the site is just perfect. The owners are welcoming and pop out checking everything is fine. The phone signal whilst in your van is limited but at the dog walk the signal is fine and strong. TV signal is great. Beaminster Town is a quaint place to visit offering coffee shops, butchers, gift shops, doctors surgery if needed and lots more. St Mary's church is one of the finest churches around and that really is worth a visit and Beaminster town is just 6 minutes from the site by car.  It's £12 per night and that's a bargain!  We certainly will return when visiting the area again.
