Large field with plenty of room

There was some confusion about our booking when we arrived (and others apparently) but this was soon sorted. We loved the large field with numerous trees and shrubs for privacy. All facilities were clean and tidy and there was a lovely field to walk the dog. Plenty to do in the area, we walked and cycled a lot and thoroughly enjoyed our stay except for.....On site one couple had two dogs who were running free and believe it or not one was in season!! this not only spoilt our stay but others also commented on the lack of respect for other people with dogs. We spoke to the offending people who just replied "we will try and keep them under control" but no change, my husband actually heard him on the 'phone laughing about the chaos it was causing. Other dogs in the neighbourhood were also paying the site a visit re the dog being in season. Not Pete and Mel's fault but just a couple of bad mannered people who didn't give a damn for other people.

I have noted your review and I thank you, yes I agree there was some initial confusion which we will address in the future. I also note the issue with others members dogs which is somewhat disappointing despite our insistence on owners having dogs tethered at all times in the CL for the comfort of all visitors. There have been several incidents regarding dogs this year, however, I fail to see shy this would be relevant in a review of our CL. Had I been made aware of a dog roaming our CL particularly in season I sound have addressed the issue . We try to show trust in visitors regarding their dogs in a hope respect is given not only to our property but other guests. We have also had complaints that dogs were left in caravans and motor homes unattended for long periods.

We will welcome dogs next year but will ensure that rules will be reinforced on arrival to their owners. It's a sham that we will have to nag owners to comply and this will include not leaving crying dogs unattended wwhich also spoils the peace and tranquility of our CL
