Short Break at Lady Lane Wharf

Ian the warden is very friendly and helpful. Easy booking in and replied very promptly to my e-mail questions. Arrival was easy although bit tricky arriving in a large vehicle, due to a local road closure the lane was very busy. Have to wait for Ian to come and open the gates Pitches are nice but hardstanding is too narrow, we backed in to give us a nice view but with a continental door it did not give us much room to step out then when a caravan arrived next to us and put their awning out it was very close. Due to the rain we didn't sit out much but only place really was at the back of the pitch unless we used the grass which would be ok in dry weather Facilities were kept clean but sanitizer only available at reception but no where else. No mention of track and trace when we checked in? Only four units on the CL but the wharf was very busy with boats who have access to the facilities so it felt very busy for us at the moment with the COVID worries. Nice walks along the canal path in both directions Like the security of the key access but would be better if it was a scan system not a key system as at the moment that does not feel safe with so many people having to touch the gates. Seem to be no restrictions on visitors to the site which normally would not be a problem but with the COVID pandemic we did not feel comfortable with this. Shame as could be a first class site, think it has suffered by not being designed by people that have experience of motorhome/caravan needs
