Good and bad

Arrived on site and after only driving a few metres onto the field we were met by a very rude angry man who informed us that we were only permitted to drive around the outside of the 8 acre field as the middle is being used to grow hay, at no point was we told this when we booked the site over the telephone so wasn't sure why the man was so angry! It seems that the owners haven't read the Caravan Club rules or the notice on their gate as in total there was 10 caravans on site over the weekend, I did bring this up with the lady who came to collect the money but she err and umm and said oh well its a big enough field you aren't all on top of each other, this wasn't the case as there were 10 caravans is was very crowded. Its a shame that the owners are so greedy that they break the rules as it is a nice site but their description needs to be updated of the size of the field and the cost per night is £6.00. The field is next to a farm so if the weather is warm the manure heap does smell so try not to pitch up close to this area.
