A favourite site, peaceful, tranquil, well kept and friendly owners. Great variety of bird life, regular views of Muntjac and roe deer...we love it!

A very pleasant site, great variety of bird life, deer wandering about, peaceful, relaxed and good facilities. We love it !

Disappointed

We were disappointed with this site as the photographs and other reviews looked promising. We thought it had a tired feel to it and the facilities and location didn't justify the high pitch fee of £18 night. This would have been more acceptable had we had the use of the showers and the toilets which we were told we couldn't use due to the virus but it seems were available to the open water swimmers. There were quite a few signs around the area telling us where we couldn't go which didn't exactly make us feel like the campsite members were high on their priority although later when we did see the owner she said we could walk around the lakes. The site is a narrow strip of land adjoining a private road with speed humps but there were times when this was quite busy as it was the access used by the open water swimmers. On the other side if the pitch is a bridleway which was popular with dog walkers which pass quite close to the pitches and the dogs are not always on leads. It is a not a site we will be using again.

disappointing

we've just returned from what used to be our favourite CL although mainly used in the Autumn ,Winter and Spring months for the past 8/9 years. We went on the off chance of going during the hot weather without realizing that the lake was being used by a swimming club .On the Monday we had 30 to 50 cars passing our van bumping over the speed humps then accelerating away created a noisey surroundings. The same again on the Tuesday mid afternoon and finally on our last day Thursday the cars started streaming by at 6.45 between then and 9.15 38 cars went by our van which is only feet away from the access road .We were told that the swimming sessions were on Mon n Thurs mornings this .coupled with being charged £18 a night ,but in the book it's £15 , this was our last visit . hope all goes well with the holiday lodges being planned

Christmas Break

Just spent Christmas at this superb CL and would highly recommend giving it a try. Only a short distance from Evesham but is set in the quiet countryside amongst the Lenches. The fishing lakes are peaceful and a great backdrop to the clubhouse where we sat outside on Christmas Day enjoying a drink, the view and the peace. The new showers and toilets are fantastic and there is free WIFI on the decking in front of the Clubhouse. Access to the site is fine even with a large twin axle, just a little care needed to miss the stones lining the drive and the change in level onto the main road, but was not a problem for me. Surrounded by trees and the old orchard makes you feel you are away from everything. Bridleway adjacent to site leads to the village, previous reviewer mentioned security because of this but it did not concern me a bit, you are in the countryside away from it all.

Late September Getaway

We stayed here at the end of September 2018. Never been before but what a pleasent suprise. When we booked it , the gentlemen was very helpful and engaging. The site itself is lovely , peacefull and relaxing. They have open water sessions which if we were there in the summer we would have used. Cant give the site enough praise. Evesham is not too far away and is worth a visit. Malvern is only 16 miles away. There is a clubhouse also and a good shower (£1 for 4 minutes) plus good toilets. We will be coming back very soon!!!!!!!!!

A lovely peaceful site

As others have said this really is a gem of a CL. Pleasant owners, clean modern facilities, dog friendly well maintained site with 2 large lakes to walk around. Grass pitches that are well spaced and a good electric supply. Entrance isn't a problem so long as you take it slowly. Evesham Country Park is about 3 miles away with its shops, restaurants and garden centre and the riverside market town of Evesham and a large supermarket is about about 4 miles. The only down side is that the site is accessable 24/7 with no security and we did have cars driving onto the site and people walking around very late at night which was a bit unnerving for us and the dogs. Pity about the latter as it really is a beautiful site.

Away From It All

Just returned from our second stay at Lenches Lakes. Very peaceful and lovely surroundings for walking and fishing. Good, spotless facilities, large pitches and friendly owner with a warm welcome. Lots of places to visit in the area. Will certainly be returning for more peace and fishing.

A great place to relax

Spent three nights here recently, a warm welcome, plenty of information given and a well maintained CL site. The showers and toilets were absolutely spotless. Plenty of walks from the site, around the lakes and to Church Lenches and only 3 miles or so to Evesham. We will definitely return here.

A peaceful gem

First time here, and will most definitely return. Chose the site originally for location to family and now think this will be regular stay, so peaceful and no light pollution couldn't hope for better. The lakes look beautiful and adds to the peace, fishermen enjoying their sport adds to the enjoyment. Like another person noted, the entrance does drop suddenly if not VERY careful the van will bottom out on entering and leaving the site, with care even 7.9 metre of van made it (phew!) Only bad point, I had to come back home.

Apples and Pears

We chose this site for a short break and were not disappointed. With three dogs the close proximity of footpaths and bridleway were an added bonus and the woodland walk was perfect. Take care on entering site as the drive drops away from the highway, we entered slowly and did not suffer any grounding as mentioned in a previous review. The lakes are most attractive and there is a terrace in front of the fishing clubhouse where one can sit and take in the scenery and wildlife. My title refers to the fact that there are the remains of an orchard on the site and we were at the right time of year for some tasty windfalls! The owner Amanda and her bailiff/deputy were very friendly and helpful. The fishing lakes were quite busy but this in no way distracted from the overall enjoyment of our stay.
