More than an overnight for the Cairnryan Ferry

We stopped overnight here on May 13th 2013, a wet and windy night, before we took the ferry next morning. A very warm reception from Claire. Nice flat stony pitches with room to stay hooked up if necessary. Toilet and shower facilities adequate and spotlessly clean. The weather and our timetable meant we could not take full advantage. On our return from Ireland two weeks later the weather was kinder and when we woke up the weather was so good we decided to stay another day. The site is well situated for exploring the Mull of Galloway, with its many botanic gardens and pretty little ports. Portpatrick and Port Logan gardens are a must. The access road, being a farm track, is a little bit rough, but no problem if you take it slowly. Well worth a visit and we would certainly use it again. Thanks Claire.
