Fanstastic CL

Fanatastic CL with superb facilities. We stayed for 3 nights and will definitely be coming back in the near future. We were greeted by Malcolm upon arrival to check that everything was OK and to advise us of the paths into Ingleton and the fanatstic woodland walk along the river. About a 15 min walk to Ingleton either through the fields or along the footpath on the main road. Close to pubs, and a great base for bike rides, walks or running. Lovely view of Ingleborough from the site. Although just off the A65 you do not really hear any traffic noise, The site is a real credit to the owners. Keep up the good work!!

Ideal Location to Explore Three Counties

Travelled down from north of Inverness - excellent journey as mostly motorways and the site is close to the M6. Warm welcome on arrival and the Lunds could not be more helpful and friendly. Nice level site with plenty of room to reverse on to pitches. Would call the pitches serviced as EHU, tap for each van and easy waste water disposal. Very good value. Fantastic modern shower and toilet block on the small commercial site located just behind the CL. Kept immaculately clean with facilities for the disabled. Washing up area at the end of the block. We took our two German Shepherds who thoroughly enjoyed walking in the field around the farm. Apart from the lovely tourist attractions in the Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire and the Lake District are within easy reach. Recommend the Mason Freehouse in Ingleton for food - just make sure you book in advance as extremely busy. M Spice Indian in Ingleton deliver to the site though you have to meet them at the entrance. Country Harvest which is a cafe and farm shop located just up the road also does excellent food. Our visit was enhanced by the lovely couple from Suffolk pitched next to us. Will certainly come here again.

Perfect, peaceful location

Wonderful jewel of a site. Very friendly and helpful owners, Malcolm and Hilary - even lent us an aerial to watch the Euro final as our aerial couldn’t get reception! We stayed on the CL part of the site, with 5 spacious serviced pitches. The adjoining field also accommodates a further 9 large pitches, all immaculately kept. Perfect location for exploring the area - Ingleton village, White Scar cave and Country Harvest next door all well worth a visit. Lovely meal at the Mason’s Arms a short walk from the site. Spotless toilet/shower block (unisex), recently built. Definitely one for our ‘must return’ list.

Hidden gem

Lundholme farm is a fabulous stay if you like peace and quiet. Malcolm & Hilary are a lovely, friendly couple who are there if you need them but just let you get on with your holiday. The unisex shower & toilet block is spotlessly clean with 2 toilets and 3 shower cubicles, one of the shower cubicles is for the disabled with drop down shower seat and toilet & sink within the cubicle, the other is the same without the disabled shower seat and the third is just a shower, all press button and fixed head with good output. We stayed on a CL pitch and was on the 5th one nearest to the sheep and cows which we loved. Nice spacious pitch with full service. Excellent base for us as we went to Skipton, Morecambe, Kirkby Lonsdale (only 6 miles up the road), Kendal, Windermere. We would definitely return to this site in the near future.

amazing site

Wow what a lovely site 5 cl pitches 9 additionally pitches and a camping field. This ment our friends who are campers could come with us. The arrival was fine clear messaging on a white board for when the owners aren't about. A little bit of a tight entrance past the house for us but we do have one of the wider vans 8ft vans. We found our pitch and got set up and Malcom came and introduced himself and made sure we were OK and didn't need anything. He was lovely and chatty and wished us a nice stay. We were allowed to let the dog run on the tent field which was good. The tokiet and shower block is amazing new and clean and suitable for families and any one with a physical disability. We had a great walk on the Saturday to and around ingleton falls which was great. This site is a credit to its owners and we will be back.

Lovely CL site

Lovely site, close to pub and village. Owners were friendly and helpful. Three lovely unisex showers and toilets, clean and modern. Although booked for cl site were placed on pitches next to it which were a bit smaller but not a problem.

My new favorite CL

Gem of a site in a beautiful part of the country, owners very friendly and helpful, amenity block the best I have seen on a CL which is shared by a further small (9 pitch) site, close to a main road however surprisingly this cannot really be heard. Good dog walk from site, across a field and down to a river. I will certainly be back to this site.

Fantastic stay

Brilliant CL with superb facilities. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Close to pubs, and a great base for bike rides, walks or running. Lovely view of Ingleborough from the site. Very close to A65 but this didn't intrude on a wonderful stay.

Lovely site

This is a working farm, but Malcolm still takes the time to welcome you on site. Malcolm and Hilary are a lovely helpful couple. The site is beautifully maintained. The A65 was only a field away but you were not aware of traffic noise, just enjoyed the surroundings. The Waterfall Trail is a must, we had the wonderful surprise of meeting an ice cream van halfway round also selling hot drinks. Nearby Clapham also has a lovely nature trail and, when things reopen, access to a cave. It is a short walk (10 mins) from the site into Ingleton itself, where there is pubs, cafes and shops. There are good walks from site, particularly if you have a dog, some parts of the river bank are falling in and care needs to be taken, but such a tranquil area where otters and kingfishers can be seen apparently, we didn't see them on our short stay but will spend time observing the river on our return. Although the toilet block (which from other reviews sounds amazing) was closed due to Covid during our stay, you could still access the washing up area outside. We will definitely be returning here. Thank you for a lovely stay.
