Lovely site

We stayed here with friends for a week-end in May. It's a great site, easy to get to, very peaceful. The owners are a lovely couple, very friendly and helpful. Lots of great walks along/around the River Severn. Very convenient for Tewkesbury and Gloucester. Unfortunately the nearby pub was closed for renovation, but should be re-opening soon, however there are plenty of others in the area. Others have commented on the TV reception, we don't take a TV in the caravan, so cannot comment on that. We will definitely be going back for another visit

A lovely peaceful site

What a lovely peaceful site with great views over the countryside. This site had everything that we needed for a great chill out weekend. Well maintained with no sign of mud even after the rain. Will definitely be back!

The owners were very friendly and helpful and the site was in a position which was nice and peaceful with well looked after facilities. However, we were expecting to see the river but could not, we didn't have wifi and the tv signal was very poor. Enjoyed our trip to Snowshill manor nr Broadway.

Good little CL

What do you get for £10 a night? A quiet pitch, free plums, electricity, riverside walks in 100 m, pub and food 100m, close to many places of interest (Gloucester, Worcester, Tewkesbury, Malvern etc.) and relatively close to M5 to use as a stop over from Yorks to Cornwall. Yes it is a grassy field and not a lawn, no the wi fi didn't work but great value for a basic CL. Long may it continue.

Lovely site - peaceful & convenient

Glad we were not put off by previous reviews as we found this CL to be perfect for getting away from it all. Lots of bird life in the hedges and a good centre for walking & cycling. Ample room, easy access to pub & bus to Tewkesbury or Gloucester. Lovely walks along river Severn and plenty of plums & blackberries. Wifi & mobile reception a bit patchy but available if you try. Would definitely go again.

Peace and quiet!!! but that's not all.

Well, We stayed at Malt lodge Friday evening until Monday afternoon. Owners friendly enough just sad that the site was not really as advertised. It is a small easy to find site (as ling as you follow the instructions and not Sat nav) just outside Tewkesbury with lovely walks off the site through the countryside and along the river Severn. (not a waterside view which I was expecting.) Wifi none existent!!! Tv reception advertised as good, but this depends on where you pitch. Electric points on a post way up high to avoid any flooding. (steps supplied) would think twice about going again.

Could be so much better

We stayed at Malt lodge Friday evening until Monday afternoon. It is a small easy to find site just outside Tewkesbury with lovely walks off the site through the countryside and along the river Severn. The site itself is a small field, views would be lovely if hedges were cut much lower so you can see the views! Elsan point not near the tap, and pipe at a weird angle so bit difficult to use. Electric points on a post way too high luckily I am tall but if I was average height might have difficulty reaching it. Tv reception advertised as good , I would disagree, not good, very poor. Combination padlock recently put on gate to field, fine, but perhaps there could be a side gate for foot passengers as a bit of a nuisance to unlock and lock gate every time went for a walk. Wifi none existent!!! Tried my phone, ipad, and laptop, drove around the field still no signal, moved the van, still no signal, couldn't even get phone signal. Mentioned it to owner and he said was having difficulties with wifi and had been asking customers for feedback as had paid a lot of money four weeks ago to have wifi installed. If he had been having difficulties for four weeks previously, it would have been extremely helpful if at time of booking he could have mentioned wifi dodgy. I appreciate wifi is not always available, but if you do not have it then please do not say you do. I run a business and brought office work with me which I was unable to complete, the main reason for choosing this site was for the wifi. Disappointing weekend.
