Nice place to stay

We have been to this site for 4 yrs running and look forward to going back the following year. Carole, mark and Sam are gracious hosts who always make you welcome and are always helpful if needed. The site itself is quiet as its away from main roads and the chickens and peacocks walking around always make it interesting, especially if your eating outside as the chickens are not backward in coming forward and nicking it off your plate. If you want somewhere quiet to relax this is the place for you. Skegness and Boston are just a few miles down the road if you like shopping. Well worth a visit.

Another wonderful stay

We enjoyed our first stay here so much we returned only a few weeks later and I'm happy to say we were not disappointed.  It was just as lovely as before (see my previous review).

Amazing

I want to be selfish and keep this site a secret but I can't.  Manor Bungalow CL is brilliant, amazing, fantastic....put in any complimentary word you choose. Carole and Mark are a wonderful couple. Unbelievably friendly and helpful. Carole even helped us turn our van to make the best of the sun and put up our awning.  The field is bigger than average but still only has five vans on it so the pitches are large and well spaced. There are peacocks and chickens wandering around. Hens eggs are on sale in the information shed at 80p for half a dozen. There are also geese and pigs but they were either penned or tended to stay close to the house when we were there. All the animals and birds are rescued. The pond is home to rescued koi and a duck. Each pitch has EHU but there are no showers or toilets so you need to have your own facilities. The rubbish, waste and fresh water area is well thought out. The aforementioned information shed has a wealth of local attractions leaflets and useful information. The area is stunning. It's flat so easy for walking yet so full of wildlife including some you would never expect to see....parrots. These come from a nearby parrot sanctuary where they fly free (an attraction well worth a visit.) An owl sweeps along the dyke directly outside the site. We were fortunate to see it several times in the three days we were there. If you want noise, entertainment and a club bar then this is not the site for you. But if you want peace and tranquility in beautiful surroundings with easy car access to places of interest then you can't beat Manor Bungalow CL.

Just what a CL should be !

Perfect CL. Quiet and peaceful with lovely free range birds to sit and watch. Nice big Poplar trees across the back of the site to act as a wind break. Plenty of room between vans. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Pub doing traditional pub grub 5-10 mins walk away. Great !! Would return...

A small corner in Lincolnshire

We have just spent 9 nights at The Manor Bungalow CL and loved every minute of it.  This is the third time we have visited this site and it just gets better and better.  Carol and Mark always give you a warm welcome.  Their love for all the animals and birds they have rescued is second to none there is never a dull moment when the chickens come visiting, watch your barbarque or your might have roast chicken as they often try to nick something off the BBQ.  The site is quiet but only a few miles from the hustle and bustle of Skegness and surrounding areas. We love this site and whenever we are in this area this is the place we stay if it is possible. We will be coming again in the future.   Christine and Brian

A Little Gem

We have just returned from 2 weeks stay at Manor Bungalow. We really enjoyed our stay and Carole made us feel very welcome on arrival and even offered to help with the awning. This is a large site with plenty of space and within reach of the attractions and bustle of Skegness but it's nice to return to the peace and tranquility of the site. Definitely worth a visit

Wonderful Site

My wife and I just spent 5 wonderful nights at this site. Beautiful and peaceful, the owners are a joy, site very clean and welcoming. We will most certainly visit again, Watching the free range chickens was a wonderful site, so tame, even got to hand feed them. so much to see and do in the surrounding area, Gibralter point is a must if you like wildlife. So pleased we booked this site.

Fantastic CL with a very warm welcome.

Stayed here twice now (and the price has never gone up in 3 years!!!) and can't wait to go back. A lovely welcome from the owners Mark and Carole (who are CC members themselves) and nothing is too much trouble. Loads of electric points situated around the perimeter and you are welcome to pitch where you like within distance of any free outlet. There is the usual water point, chemical closet point, recycling bins and even an information hut (which even has a few items you are welcome to borrow free of charge). Slightly undulating in places (so you may need leveling blocks) but overall pretty flat and reinforced grass at the entrance for all weathers. Beautifully kept, there are Chickens, Ducks and Peafowl roaming free (and they love to introduce themselves) and a small pond (fenced off, so even our 5 year old is OK) at the bottom with more wildlife. The site is surrounded by farmland and is so peaceful, although there are shops just a 10 minute stroll away (and a lovely walk it is too!!) but it is only a 20 minute drive to Skegness (if amusements are your thing) or head the other way to the market town of Boston, and there is a Parrot sanctuary just a few minutes up the road for a very cheap and enjoyable day out. A highly recommended CL for either a few days stay, or even longer.
