Convenient site.

Easy to find but be careful when turning left from roundabout because cars are parked both sides of the road, as you make your way to the traffic lights. You will need leveling blocks. Two shops that you can walk too for everyday items. Not to be missed is Chatham navel dock yard this can take two visits so much to see, pay once and you can make as many visits you like in the year. Once again no notice board giving information as to where the nearest medical services are (hopefully never needed ) or other amenities in the area. This is something we see on so many CL sites.

Always welcomed to this lovely site

We stay at this site quite often and feel the need to leave a review as it truly deserves one. The owners are lovely and welcoming, the grounds are very well kept with very easy access onto site. There is a local convenience store a short walk up the road for day to day bits. Further more about 5 mins drive there is a Tesco supermarket. Trains and buses all within reach and the surrounding area is peacefull. Nice walk to the river Medway also. We would definately return to this site and recommend to others.

Manor Farm

Surprisingly rural and peaceful.I used this site whist having building work completed at home and this site fulfilled all expectations.Fairly easy route just follow instructions carefully in handbook and you shouldn't  encounter any problems. As stated before site is near railway station but because trains stop noise is minimal.Interesting walks along riverbank and up to church, with housing old and new.Owner very helpful and you can sense he values campers to his CL.Just wished I could of seen the vintage coach in its garage.

Nice weekend, not really for small children..

Very easy to follow directions provided by the owners, the road leading up the bridge can be a little tight but we made it through just fine! Peaceful location, right next to the station but didn't really notice it too much, there are also coach trips run from the CL but again apart from waking up to find cars in the next field we didn't really notice the comings and goings until we saw a coach come back and we could enjoy the restored old vehicle! The only downside for us was that the animals were free to roam - we didn't really think about this when booking and with a 1.5 and 7.5 year old we couldn't really let them play in the field as we'd have liked due to the animal 'deposits' left everywhere. In saying tha,t there is a park literally over the road from the site which is suitable for playing in, just at our kids ages we wouldn't let them off on their own! Great location for all things Rochester, Chatham docks, Shorne country park nearby was lovely too, would stay again if the animals were not quite as free around the CL part of the whole site!

Nice short stay CL

Easily found using directions given & not sat nav, sloping site but the owner told us what angle to park & found him very helpful. Chickens & ducks free to use the CL as well which kept us amused. Railway station close but did not disturb our stay at all. A good base for Rochester & Strood, well recommended

Tranquil and interesting

A very interesting site, rural with fantastic river walks through an interesting and historic village. The site is sloping but all pitches are level, under the expert guidance of the owners, who are very welcoming. The duck and geese are amusing and entertaining. The station at Halling is adjacent, but has no impact on the peace and tranquility of the site. The owner has several vintage vehicles under various stages of restoration. Locally is Rochester and Chatham Docks, with London further afield but accessible for a day trip by train and boat from Greenwich. A site I would recommend for a tranquil and interesting stay.

An ideal stopover

Gently sloping CL field with geese, ducks & chickens roaming freely & happily around during the day. (Eggs on sale most of the time too). Close to the A2/M2 & just off A228 for visiting Rochester, Chatham etc. Halling station is in ear/eye shot but not too busy & did not disturb us. Opposite the entrance is a local playing field with childrens play equipment & dog walking, dog waste bins & further down the lane access to fields & the Medway. The owners were very pleasant & helpful.

Surprisingly Rural

So near the A228 and Halling station, but the main road merely gives easy access and the station is barely heard. Not a scenic site but the antics of numerous geese, ducks and chickens are amusing ( watch out for sneaky sandwich thieves ). The owner is always happy to show off his vintage bus collection. A short walk to the Medway and fields from site. A surprisingly quiet site , and one we will visit again.
