Lovely Weekend

Lovely well maintained site. Large level pitches lovely and private with the trees. Public footpath opposite site that takes you into woodlands. Ideal for walking the dogs. Named pitch on arrival which I really like. A bit of road noise during the day but silent overnight. I can’t fault this site. Maintained to a fantastic high standard

Amazing site

We are using this site as our son is at uni in Lincoln and will be working over the Christmas period. It is our first time here and the site is amazing. The arrival was straightforward, we followed the directions on the website and once we got here we pitched up on the allocated pitch marked with our name. To our pleasant surprise there was even a gift bag with a Christmas card and gift which was a lovely touch. Especially the n the his day and age. The grounds are immaculate and everything is as stated and in good working order. We have yet to meet the owner but this is due to it being Christmas and we have all been busy. I can’t wait to come back in the summer and see how it looks then because we love it.

An excellent site

This is a great site with the pitches well laid out and divided by mature planting. We had a very warm welcome from the owner, who was very amenable with our arrangements as we were busy visiting our mum in hospital in Lincoln. Lincoln is a city that is well worth exploring, there are lots of places worth visiting. We also did a great walk along the Water Rail Trail from Bardney.

Excellent site

We stayed at mere oaks for three nights in October 2016. The site is extremely clean and tidy. On arrival your name is displayed on a board for your pitch. The owners don't bother you, you just go to the house to pay. It's only 15 minutes into Lincoln, and only £12 a night. Our daughter loved running around in the ground ls where it was safe and fenced off. Will return soon.

Credit to New Site Owners

We stayed at this site for 8 nights which has been taken over by new owners early this year which is evident that it is being kept to a high standard. When you arrive on site your surname is displayed on a welcome board at the pitch allocated which is a good idea for both the owners and visitors alike. The grass is mown regularly plus the bins for general waste, recycling and doggie bags are contained in a designated area which are emptied daily and also lit up by the use of solar lights. The five pitches are spacious with evergreen trees planted between each pitch so no over hanging branches making each pitch private and secluded. The perimeter of the field is also private with tall fir trees neatly trimmed which helps to shelter the sound of the traffic on the adjacent road which is not an intrusion as such. This site is amongst the best of CL's that we have stayed at and would happily return again. The owners have gone the extra length to assist their guests as there is a greenhouse in the owners back garden which has access for visitors to borrow the books which contain local information and leaflets of the surrounding area. This of course is a bonus especially if you don't have a smart phone with internet access like ourselves. The new owners of Mere Oaks are extremely pleasant which adds to the delightful pleasure of staying at this lovely location.

Good base for Lincoln

We booked the Easter weekend at Mere Oaks as our usual CL was booked. This is a lovely flat paddock with all pitches separated by greenery. The owners had kindly marked each pitch with names for ease. They popped out in the evening to welcome us and give an info pack. Dog walks are easy into a field opposite - a public footpath. TV was excellent. As the weather was so lovely on Good Friday, there was a fair bit of road noise during the day as every motorbike in the area seemed to be out! However, not a peep at night. We ended up booking an extra night as we were so chilled! We would certainly return should we not be able to get in at the more local CL.

Mere Oaks - a pleasant surprise

We recently stayed here for three days whilst we tried-out our latest acquisition - a tiny two berth Swift caravan. We live in North Lincolnshire, so we didn't really want to travel too far on our maiden outing, so in one respect Mere Oaks was a bit of pot luck. Negotiating our way through the road works at Lincoln at rush hour with a caravan on the back was somewhat hair-raising, but when we finally reached the site a were very impressed by the overall tidiness of the well-manicured camping field and the beautiful countryside surroundings. Right from the start we found the owners to be friendly and helpful which made our short stay here that much more welcoming. Overall we would say that this site is to be recommended, and we would definitely return.

Perfect Stay

What a beautifully kept CL.  Melody and Graham are very welcoming and friendly and take pride in this easily accessible site.  Very large pitches separated by shrubs making each pitch very private and the whole site is enclosed by a high hedge.  As already stated the facilities are all well placed and spotlessly clean and tidy.  A nice touch is the welcome sign with your name on indicating your pitch for the stay as is the welcome pack with local information. Lincoln is easy to get to being only a short drive away. Although there is some road noise, it is mainly commuter traffic and is quiet during the evening/ night and it didn't affect our stay.  In fact we spent quite a few hours sitting in the sun relaxing in this lovely setting.  We will be back.

Beautiful Well-Kept Site!

We stayed here for the last weekend in February for 3 nights. What a pretty, well-kept site and Graham, the owner, was very welcoming. We were the only ones on the site so had the pick of the pitches but opted for the one that Graham had kindly put our name sign on. My brother and sister-in-law arrived later with their van. The site is lovely and despite there being the road at the side of it, it is not intrusive as the site is well protected and private thanks to the tall, well maintained hedges that run all around. The water point and bins are well thought out and so organised. (I like organised!) There is an easily accessible ground level CDP. Graham later came to us with a very comprehensive Information Folder that had everything in it from local attraction information to eateries and takeaways. Particularly useful if you are not local and are visiting the area from further afield than us. There is dog walking off the site and dogs are to be kept tethered/ on leads whilst on site and there is a dedicated dog waste bin on the site. Overall this site is lovely and obviously cared about by Graham- it shows in the presentation of the site and the welcome you receive. We look forward to returning :-)
