Great CL

Mr Alderson very welcoming on arrival and helpful when locating a spot, all hardstanding and flat. Amenities 2 toilets one for male and one for female also a separate shower which is coin operated. There is a dog walk adjacent to stables that leads to 2 fishing ponds. Plenty of footpaths if you are a walker. Bus stop next to Tiggies Italian which takes you to Skipton, Clitheroe, Barnoldswick and Whalley. Useful for motorhome owners. Will be going back.

Great CL. Owner was very helpful. It has everything you could ask for on a CL site loads of room between vans grass was cut short and clippings removed.Entertainment provided by the horses in field and arena. Great dog walks straight from site. Good fishing and the added bonus of two great restaurants on the door step

Peace and tranquility

We had a very warm welcome from Stan on arrival, showing us round his lovely CL ( nothing was too much trouble) The site has everything you require... The shower and wc facilities were very clean and in good working order. Lots of bins for recycling and water taps. Excellent amount of space between each pitch. The most spectacular views and walks,an excellent get away from it all place. The fish facilities were highly recommended by the three fishermen. We will be back time and time again. The two restaurants are an added bonus we visited both and both were equally excellent.

Site with 2 Excellent Restaurants

This site was great for a two night stopover, next time we will stop longer. There aren't many certificated locations with 2 excellent restaurants on the door step. We dined at both and they were both top quality. Tiggi's for the best Italian food and Shajan for fine Indian dining. Both are 2/3 minutes walk from the caravan pitch, either side of the entrance to the site. Stan, the owner of the site made us feel very welcome on arrival and as we were stopping Sunday and Monday nights, we virtually had the place to ourselves. Lots of good walks in the good views and good facilities. Will be going back.

What a shame.

We booked for the Thursday before bank holiday Monday. The access road to Mire Fold Farm is very narrow and littered with very large deep potholes so great care is needed. The CL field and hard standing was nicely mown however the 'fantastic views' were spoilt due to a large collection of unkempt stored (with some lived in) caravans on 2 sides. The hardstanding is being overtaken by grass and moss. The drinking water tap is shared with the horses in the adjacent field With a great deal of TLC this spoilt CL could be a lovely once again but it is truly playing second or even third fiddle to the caravan accommodation/storage and the horse business, such a shame.

Relaxing, peaceful and easygoing.

We booked for one night so my husband could try out the fishing. There are two fishing lakes set in a very quiet peaceful area. I explored the dog walks in the area and didn't meet a vehicle and only one person, I loved it. We both decided to stay another night to make the most of it. BBQ outside the first night and went to the Italian restaurant at the end of the lane for the second evening, ace. Looking forward to returning. Recommend this site if you prefer peace and quiet.

Great stay

We stayed here for one night in our motorhome, I rang to make the booking about a week prior and when we arrived we saw the owner who was very friendly and told us everything we needed to know. The site is very peaceful and more than adequate for our stay to enjoy a visit to a nearby restaurant.

Disappointed

We stayed here because our plans changed, in the book it says lawned, well the grass was about 1ft high and the groundsheet was floating on the long grass. The hardstandings leave a lot to the imagination. It was a little run down and with a little TLC it could be a really nice c.l. They also store caravans and some have been there for a very long time

Lovely site

This site was a perfect base for a family christening at Mellor Brook in June 2014. Mr Anderson made us feel welcome on arrival and we pitched up opposite a small field of sheep and lambs. Behind us in another field were horses - there was a a paddock where horse riding lessons were being taught too. This is a very peaceful and private site with nothing obstructing the views. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped an extra night. We shall definitely be returning when visiting the family again.
