Peaceful and quiet site with amazing views

We have just returned from another stay at Murchin Field. The site is so well placed for walking the Marloes Peninsula and cycling the quiet lanes. The pitches are mown and well spaced with longer meadow grass/ wild areas further over in the field. The facilities are faultless and are checked twice daily by the friendly and helpful owner. We will be back again soon. Thank you.

A perfect place to stay

We sadly only stayed one night but will definitely return. Malcolm, the owner, was very helpful. We were travelling with friends & were delighted to find that he had two spaces available at very short notice. The site was very quiet with beautiful views. We had a fabulous evening walk around the headland, a really magical place.

Fantastic CL in a beautiful location

Spent a lovely week here in July/August and would happily return. The pitches were marked on arrival and were spacious. Hand sanitiser and antiseptic wipes were provided due to the pandemic. Rubbish & recycling facilities clearly labelled and tidy and the best water pressure I've ever encountered in 9 years of caravanning! The owner was very welcoming and pops over twice a day to check all is well - he doesn't intrude though and only stops if you need to ask anything. This is a beautiful corner of Wales with lovely views over to the sea from the site. The nearby beaches are absolutely superb and surprisingly quiet. Fantastic coastal walks with seals to spot. Big supermarkets in Haverford West about 25 mins away, along with a really good laundrette (Widow Twankeys) which will do service washes. Definitely a site to recommend.

A Return Visit to this Gem Long Overdue

We visited this lovely CL in 2001 .. a return visit is long overdue. A peaceful basic CL in a beautiful location.. No EHU, No toilets, No club house.. and No noise.. just how we like it. We plan a two week trip this summer.. looking forward to it so much..

Fabulous!

We stayed here for 4 nights in July at the start of our 2 week holiday and if we hadn't already booked the next site we would have stayed longer. It is so peaceful, very laid back and relaxing, ( there weren't any children there during our stay, always a bonus for us!) We would usually have done lots of walking with our dogs but as it was so hot we didn't get any further than the beautiful beach and a lovely cove, both an easy, pleasant walk. However, it will be a good reason for us to return as we would love to walk the coastal path round the peninsula as the little we did see was stunning. Malcolm, the site owner visited the site twice a day to have a chat and make sure everyone was happy and was extremely friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

Amazing location, peaceful and great value

We stayed for 2 nights in May and had the field to ourselves. Loved the location and the views. Very friendly owner who just came round in the morning to collect the very modest fee. Fresh water, chemical disposal plus bins and recycling. No EHU but that's not really what we want anyway. Our only slight concern was the chem disposal point which is a lidded bin sunk into the ground and therefore when you take the lid off to empty the cassette it is not very pleasant and also there is a bit of a danger of "splash back"! However there is a separate water tap and the area is well fenced off and quite a few metres away from the fresh water tap so no danger of contamination.

Lovely Unspoilt CL

Basic CL in a quiet lovely spot. The owner was very welcoming and pleasant. This is the best CL to stay at if you want access to Skomer Island as the boat is about 30 minutes walk away. We cannot recommend Skomer Island highly enough along with the coastal path. We will be back.

Excellent and friendly CL

We stayed for 5 nights at Murchin Field in August and would thoroughly recommend the site. Mr Cullen is very welcoming and friendly. He provides a map of the area and checks the site several times a day. The site  has panoramic views of St Brides Bay and is within easy walking distance of Marloes village and beach. Will definitely visit again.
