lovely peaceful CL

We stayed for just one night in June 1018, newly opened site on the edge of the Llanrhidian Marsh, peaceful with nice scenery. Well laid out 5 hardstandings with EHU, grey water and black waste disposal, fresh water and recycling bins. a 10 minute walk to the Purple Badger restaurant and other pubs in the village although we didn't visit those. Great for cycling or walking along the flat marsh road. Points to note, email seems to be the best way of booking, we tried both telephone numbers over a period of two days with no answer, we turned up unannounced in the end but there was room so it was ok, the owner does prefer email bookings. Pitches are slightly sloping so levelling blocks needed for motorhomes and the pitches are a little short for tag axled vehicles but ok to stick out into the roadway if you manage to get the top pitch. Confirm price with your booking, we expected to pay £15 (one motorhome, two adults, one dog) but were charged £20 on arrival although the other motorhome already there were charged £15(also two adults but no dog). £20 is a bit on the expensive side given facilities are basic with no washroom/toilets. We will probably go back as the location is great for us with friends on Llanrhidian Holiday Park across the road

Lovely CL

We had a really good stay here! The location is great, very quiet and only a few yards from the salt marsh where you can spot all sorts of birds including marsh harriers and egrets. The site was alive with birdsong, particularly goldfinches and swallows. We had a warm welcome from the owners. The local buses run from the main road and village a few minutes away, giving plenty of opportunity for a ride out and a scenic walk back. The local castle and Neolithic remains are a walk away. We’ll be back...
