I have to admit that there is some road noise from the very busy A596 to Carlisle road affecting this CL though less so at the weekends. However, unless you are a very light sleeper this is a minor inconvenience when weighed against the overall merits of the site. It is huge, dry, interesting and convenient for the town and seashore. The warden is helpful and knowledgeable and at £5.00 per night this has to be the best deal in CL land. The venue lends itself to a family get together as there is ample space for children of all ages and family pets to have a good time together without spoiling the peace for other campers. And no grass clippings! Absolutely brilliant - you must give it a try.
