Not one of the best CL

My husband and myself, our Daughter, son in law and grandson arranged an holiday touring round Norfolk for August this year.In November 2013 ii book four CL sites one being Nursery farm, We look for CL with toilets/showers and where possible water nr to pitches because my husband is disabled. Our first two CL and the last one was first class toilets/showers lovely and clean, taps to pitches , but we where disappointed at nursery farm when we arrived we where told where to pitch out caravans when we looked there where no taps we where told we wasn't on the CL site the water tap was down an hill next to the toilet/shower block there where three vans parked on the CL the owner said he didn't tell people how to park their vans.  Two vans where taking up two pitches each, we where on a field next door to the CL Not happy with water being down the hill too much for my husband. Nursery farm the five nights we stayed spoiled our holiday .The toilet and showers where dirty needs to be cleaned up we had our showers in our van wouldn't use them. They charged 15.00 a night was not worth it. We will never go back there. If we go back to norfolk we will look for another CL plenty in area. We advised others to do the same.

great for children

We had a very happy break the owners were very laid back and the families enjoyed playing football and cricket in the fields. The facilities are in need of an update but the price charged £15.00 high season was very reasonable. This site is not for the fussy or the adults only sect.

Unclean

We have just returned from a 3 night stay here. The CL is quite roomy and each Electric point has a freshwater tap, but the toilet and shower facilities severely let down this CL. We arrived on a Thursday for a 4 night stay, the toilet and shower are very old and tired, but that could be forgiven if only they were clean. When we arrived the toilet and separate shower were filthy (dirty footprints, dust and dirt on the fittings etc.) A notice displayed in the toilet also asked for 'Sanitary' items to be placed in the bin provided and not flushed down the toilet. However the bin was already 3/4 full with at least 4-5 empty loo rolls and nappy sacks there. 3 days later the bin was overflowing and the same footprints etc were still visible... no cleaning had occurred during that time. This was a Bank Holiday weekend and the CL was full with SIX vans, multiply that by at least 2 per van, throw in a few children and you begin to see where i'm coming from. They also rent out a number of holiday homes and I feel that they provide a greater return and the CL has simply been forgotten. Anyway after 3 days we decided to return home a day early than face the thought of showering where 20-30 others had been there before! Advice is try and find a different location if you can!

Short Break

We spent the weekend here on the 15-03-2014 and it was really good. The toilet and shower rooms were clean with the only improvement being that they only had one toilet. The pitch was large with plenty of space for our 640 twin axle and there was also a tap near the electric hookup point so no lugging water carriers about. Was a pleasant stay and weather was lovely. We would recommend this site and will be staying again. Many thanks. The Knight Family.....

Nice Norfolk Hideaway

As with most of our breaks this year - it was raining when we arrived! Good old British Summer! But that didn't stop the owner coming out and showing us to our pitch and the facilities (the site has shower, w.c. and TV hook up points). Located on the top of a small incline amongst the wooded area, it is a lovely quiet site with some nice walks through the forest available to all. The pitch area is plenty big enough for the 'vans at one end and at the bottom of the hill, fun and games with the ball (soft ball I hasten to add) at the other. Unfortunately, because of the rain, we couldn't get the 'van up the slight incline - in fact we ended up getting stuck at the bottom but a very friendly and helpful neighbour with a 4X4 came out and offered to hitch up to our 'van and get it up the hill - caravanners really are lovely people! The site has easy access to Cromer and Sheringham amongst other areas; plus there's the Amazona Zoo, Sheringham Splash Pool, Poppy Line Steam Rail and plenty of sea front walks. Thankfully we had a break in the weather and managed to get outside for a bit over our 3 day stay, one day got so warm we were able to sit in the beer garden of a local pub! Lovely jubbly! Well worth a visit - but be careful if it's raining!
