Great CL

Stayed at this brilliant CL for a week, Monday 19/06/17. The site itself was perfect for us plenty of walks directly from the site, and a short drive to others. The walks along the Bure Valley Railway are a must if you are in this area. The site itself is quiet, has lovely views and the owners are very welcoming and laid-back. The fishing pond, on site, was an added bonus for a bit of fun fishing on an evening. We could not fault this site it was just great, we will be back again to enjoy it. Thanks again Susan and David for a great break.

Stunning

A well kept, delightful site with friendly owners. We stayed for 15 nights and loved it! Yes, there is some helicopter noise, but not enough to spoil our enjoyment. Bryants Heath is lovely to walk around.

A Short Break

I recently found out (thanks to Peggy's research) that I have some ancestors from Norfolk just a few miles from Old Bridge Farm CL, so, we decided to take a 3 night break here. We found the CL site to be a wonderful place to spend 3 nights. The CL is large and spacious, overlooking some woodland and the lake. We found the site is in a great location to walk into North Walsham along the Weaver's Way which is only 100 yards from the CL. There are buses and a train station in North Walsham and you can be in Cromer or Sheringham within 20 minutes if you are looking for some seaside. You can also walk the other way to Aylsham which is about 4 or 5 miles. There are 2 or 3 other walks directly from the site, into North Walsham 1 1/2 miles or Felmingham 1 mile which has a post office with a small village store attached. The CL is a smallholding so there were some animals close to the pitches, a couple horses and some lovely rare breed cows with calves which made a bit of noise but only because they had recently been put out to pasture and were calling David for their breakfast. They have dogs on the smallholding which made a bit of noise and the site seems to be on the helicopter flight path out to the North Sea. I only mention this as some people want absolute quiet but we felt none of this lessened our enjoyment of the visit. David said we could walk about in the woodland and by the lake and we took advantage of this. There is plenty of wildlife in the area because of this, to include some geese, owls, day-flaying bats to mention but a few. There are plenty of water points on the site close to the pitches so servicing was easy. All-in-all we found Old Bridge Farm to be a great and well-located site.

Perfect Pitch

Another relaxing week at this fantastic CL. Owners David & Sue very welcoming and extremely helpful.  Situated next to Weavers Way which is ideal for walking or cycling.  Beautiful scenery and plenty of wild life.  One not to be missed.

Peacefulness or isolation

Nice site in a rural location we did find the public transport some distance away in north walsham the station is a 2.15 mile walk away and the bus stop is over a mile away if you have a car and can escape the rural area great if not then it's either perfectly peaceful when the weather is good or horribly isolated if the weather is bad beware of the owners dog he only comes out when the owners around but pee,d on our awning most times he was out .The site could do with some tourist info at hand as google earth and the internet are no substitute for feet on the ground.

Excellent site

As previously stated, this is an excellent site. If you don't feel like going far there is plenty to watch on site - barn owl, wryneck, geese with sygnets, great spotted woodpecker as well as many small birds. It is also great for walking with plenty of walks directly from site, as well as the disused railway straight into North Walsham. North Walsham has a Sainsburys and Waitrose supermarkets. The owners, David and Sue, are very friendly and usually on hand if you require help/advice. We spent a very enjoyable 2.5 weeks there.

So peaceful

What a fantastic site we found, on arrival only intending to stay a couple of nights, as was touring, we just could not leave and stayed 10 nights, it was everything we ever wanted from a site, lovely walks straight from site, lovely open and well kept pitch area, added bonus of the animals which we just loved watching, nice fun fishing lake but a lot of weed that needed thining, saw barn owl, buzzards and couple of deer.Easy access to North walsham the nearest town with a nice sainsburys, lot's of places to visit in the car. Will most defentely return, many thanks for a lovely peaceful stay. Owners David and Susan always busy doing something. Well done to them both for such a beautiful site

Switch off here!

A really attractive site based in a large clearing located amongst surrounding woodland. Lots of short and long walks available, and enjoyable smallholding (ponies, sheep, pigs, goats and hens) provide a lovely backdrop in the clearing. Well designed area including the pond and woodland, all put together by the owner some 20 years ago, and looking good now. Excellent owners, who are constantly working around the area, but will always check to see that all is OK. Whilst absolutely no problem for us, helicopters fly over from time to time, and occasionally barking from dogs locally. Neither is particularly intrusive. This is the best site we have stayed at.
