Lovely stay

We stayed for the bank holiday weekend, lovely site, easy walk to Ringwood, & two pubs, both serving good food. Small supermarket, bakery and fish and chip shop less than 10 minutes walk. Bus stop just down the road. Toilet and showers, very clean. 5 large size pitches, with EHU, water tap by gate, grey and waste disposal area. Brilliant walking and cycling on the forest, Sorry to say that they informed us that they will no longer accept dogs, so this is our last stay here. Very sad as we love this site, it’s a little gem.

Large Pitches and well kept

Just had a 2 week stay on this site. It is well maintained and the toilets/showers are kept clean. The pitches are very spacious and you can position your caravan/Motorhome any way to suit your own needs. There is some noise from the road that runs alongside the site, and this can be a little annoying, especially when you hear the vehicles travelling at speed. Although there wasn’t much traffic noise at night so it didn’t hinder a good nights sleep. Candace and Rob are very friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop close by that takes your into Ringwood although you would have to walk back or get a taxi as the last bus from town is 2.15pm.The Alice Lisle pub is about a 30-40 minute walk away and is well worth a visit, food is beautiful,. We did visit the White Hart in Poulner about a 20 min walk from the site, and although it is dog friendly, you can only take your dogs in when the owners dogs are upstairs. The open top bus tours are worth doing. 3 different routes that interlink. Each one takes 2-3 hours to complete the full tour. We walked most days directly from the site, either into town to catch a bus elsewhere (£2 per journey) or walked from the site using the footpaths/bridleways. Perfect location for exploring the New Forest

Great from afar, but far from great

Firstly, the site has five excellent size pitches, all on grass with quirky edging between each pitch. There are trees in the garden and hedging all around. Pretty and relaxing. As another review pointed out, it is certainly expensive, rather too expensive at £28, considering if you wish to use the shower it's another £1 time. The TV reception is virtually nil; the wifi is extremely poor being just the signal from the house (no booster available). I have called it a garden site, as the 5 pitches sit 10ft from the back garden of the house and can seem like you're actually in their garden, especially when the children of the house are playing around the caravans. There is a small road that runs parallel and can be extremely noisy. Unfortunately, the last straw was the constant 10amp electrical system tripping. We are seasoned caravanners, with 30+ years experience using low wattage kettle, microwave etc., but still found the system tripping on a regular basis. Disappointing

Excellent spot for access to the forest & town

This is a very well kept site, with clean facilities and a well organised bin area. Being able to park any way round on the generous sized pitch, is a bonus. I was put off by the noise from the junior school over the road, having stayed mid week out of season. A little expensive for a CL as there was only me but no reduction for being on my own. Also an extra £1 for the shower added to the overall cost,

A lovely New Forest CL

We (2 adults and 1 dog) stayed for 12 nights in June. We originally booked for 2021 but a change in work commitments necessitated cancelling this booking. The CL very generously transferred our deposit to 2022. Access is easy following the directions provided. NB : Avoid school pick up times as the surrounding roads will be busy. Whilst some care is required, any caravan / motor-home should find accessing the CL through the two gates stress free (our caravan is 8ft wide). We were welcomed by Candace who was lovely and left the pitch choice to us. We chose the corner under the trees to provide afternoon shade. All pitches are level...ish with only minor leveling required (to satisfy my OCD!). The site is all grass which is meticulously maintained in that the grass is cut after each departure. This means that the ride on mower runs for very short length of time thus reducing any disturbance to a minimum - some club sites seem to be continuously being noisily mown. The on site facilities (1 toilet and 1 toilet / shower) were always well maintained and very pleasant. The shower is chargeable - not an issue to us as we always use the van shower. 10A EHU is provided to each pitch with a single tap near the entrance. Grey and black water waste together with bins are well organized next to the WCs / shower. Other reviews mention noise from the adjoining road being intrusive. Perhaps because we live on a main road, we never noticed this. Convenient for many attractions, Ringwood town and of course the New Forest. We did visit Beaulieu (utilizing the CAMC discount) which, for both the petrol head and history buff, is great. Motor-homers should note that the local bus service is limited (as discovered by some motor-homers we chatted to on site). As others have mentioned, there are good shops and pubs in easy walking distance - we found The London Tavern to be very good for food, quality ale and service. There are good dog walks near by where they can run free and the New Forest makes a nice cool, sheltered walk away from the (in our case) very strong sun. We experienced very little rain and lots of hot sunshine which made our pitch choice wise in hindsight as the afternoon shade was much appreciated - nudging 30 degrees phew! A very pleasant stay on a CL which we would happily recommend to others.

3 night Half Term break

Fantastic CL!! Rob and Candace were very welcoming. Everything on site was clean and tidy with excellent toilet and shower facilities. Very conveniently located with a short walk onto the New Forest, Tesco Express, Fish and Chip shop and very good local pub. Will definitely be back in the future.

Weekend away

Just had a 4 night stay at this beautiful cl site. Large flat lawn pitches, spotless toilet and shower. Recycling bins, chemical toilet disposal point, electric hook up. Easy access from the road and very friendly welcoming hosts. Close to local shops, 5 m8ns from Ringwood Town centre (regular circular bus service). Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We will be back and we highly recommend this little corner of the New Forest for a visit. Excellent all round and very reasonably priced. Phil & Loril.

Excellent CL site

3 night stay in April 2022. Good booking comms with Candace. Easy access from A31 and clear instructions from owner, Rob, about where to pitch. Flat site surrounded by hedges. Well maintained grounds and very clean WC and WC/shower. Clean grey water and toilet disposal area and separate from fresh water tap. Next to no road noise. Tesco One-Stop, Fish and Chip shop and Pizza Shop within a flat, 5 minute walk. (Our fish and chips were still good and hot after we walked back from the F&C shop). Good dog walking around Poulner Lakes, again, just a five minute walk away from the site. Very handy for the New Forest which was stunning at this time of year. Visits to Poole, Burley, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst, Lymington and Milford on Sea. Parking without car park barriers was easy to find in all locations. Thank you Rob & Candace - we would happily return to this peaceful and well maintained site.

Lovely small New Forest site

We enjoyed a three night stay here in September 2021. The CL is lovely, with large, flat, well separated pitches, easily accessible and with good facilities nearby. We used our own sanitation but the toilet and shower looked modern and very clean. The waste disposal facilities worked well - always a bonus! As others have said, the Tesco and bakery down the road were useful for a top up shop without moving the van. We spent one day walking and one day cycling in the New Forest and were pleased at how easy it was to get to the open countryside. We have stayed on larger sites in the Forest but preferred the smaller, quieter feel to this site especially at the weekend. The owners, Candace and Rob, are very pleasant and helpful so we can definitely recommend this site and hope to return another time.

Excellent small site

Lovely large pitches all with some shade and well marked out by areas of longer grass. Tesco, bakers, off licence and fish and chip shop 5 minutes walk as is a vet, dentist and doctors! Easy 25 minute walk into Ringwood or take the circular bus. Plenty of walks nearby with the New Forest about 20 minutes. Couldn't be more convenient for those who don't wish to drive anywhere. Rob and Candace were very helpful and welcoming. We will be back.
