We were staying in York at the site we enjoy staying. But it is always busy, busy, busy. We had to move so took a chance getting on to a CL over the bank holiday weekend and how lucky we were. This site is an excellent CL. We will be trying to staying here in the future when we visit York again. Getting to it is simple, just follow the directions given on the web page. What you see in the pictures is what you get. A well set out site with a selection of pitching areas around the oval or in the middle if that is your preference. The pitches are all level and the owner has said they will be adding hard stand pitches in next year. The views from the pitch's are excellent with forest to one side, grazing areas for the owners cows on the others and beyond that acres of open land. The owners were attentive and helpful on arrival and again during our stay. Pointing out that we could take our dog for a walk around their lake and offering to help start my car as I had let the battery drain. This is a working farm and access to the site is through the farm itself making it unsuitable for children to stay on the site with farm machinery occasional being used. For us it is a great alternative site instead of staying in one of the busiest sites in the country but with easy access by car or public transport into York. Finally, I would add this is a great site for those who like to star watch, satellite chase, as there is little light pollution and plenty of visible sky.
