Quality CL

Well laid out site with ample sized hardstanding pitches. Slightly sloping but no trouble for our 7.5m motorhome. Good rubbish, recycling area, easy access to CDP and grey disposal. Walked on old railway track towards North Skelton, glad wore our wellies as rather wet. Would be great in the drier months to get access to the footpaths to Saltburn as the road from the site has no pavement and traffic fast. We did manage to catch the X1 bus to Saltburn, request stop as end of site driveway. Driver wasn’t aware it was a stop but the Arriva bus app states it is. Excellent communication on booking, with directions and simple instructions regarding the metered electric. £20 a night and electricity at a good rate of 28p per kwh. We will return when the weather improves and enjoy more of the area.

Great CL

Brilliant CL, Katherine and Mick are great hosts really friendly and helpfull when we had a couple of problems with our van. Peaceful site with good dog walks and not far from interesting places to visit. We will definitely be back. Steve & Lynne

Quiet but needs more communication regarding metered electricity

Whilst this site was quiet and peaceful and easy to locate, we felt a little disappointed with the a couple of areas. There was not any clear guidance regarding the metered electricity, I found the envelopes purely by accident when walking our dog around the site! We met the owner and paid her on the day of arrival, again we felt a little disappointed with the reaction to our query about the electric. It was useful for our purposes on this visit, but to be honest not sure we would visit again. 😐

Beautiful site

We stayed on this beautiful site for eleven nights over the two early May bank holidays. There are five hard standing pitches. Electricity is on a metered basis so you can choose wether you want to hook up or not. The service area is well signed and kept very clean and tidy and the grass is mowed and collected. A nice area in the far corner is left wild and looks very pretty. This site is so convenient for many East cost towns the closest being Saltburn which is so lovely, you can walk for miles on the beach. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay, thank you so much.

Mature Couple

Excellent site. Easy access from Guisborough by-pass and into the site. Very good public transport - we drove to Skelton from the site and parked there as it was free, then bus to Whitby and other places on the coast to walk the coast path, and bus to Midddlesborough. Walked to Saltburn through the nature reserve and on to Redcar. A 6 night stay was too short - no time to visit the North Yorks Moors - we will return.

Excellent site

The site is clean with modern disposal points. It is close to saltburn which is a huge plus. The owner is accommodating and can provide a map of local walks off the site. The site entrance is immediately after the bridge. It is a little steep with loose gravel although our car handled it fine. What3words: ///consonant.steers.kindness

Perfect CL

A great site with three hard standing pitches and two grass, spotless facilities and Katherine our hostess provided a small OS map of the immediate area and helped with local restaurant details and even provided a taxi number. We used it as base to cycle into Saltburn-on-the-Sea along the coast to Redcar and would stay again.

Excellent site.

Great site. Quiet, tidy and well maintained. We particularly liked the dog walking field. The owner Katherine followed up our telephone booking with a helpful, informative email. This was reassuring in this new Covid world. I can definitely see us returning.

Room with a view

Just recently stayed for 10 days at Paddock house in various types of weather, from howling wind & rain to red hot clear skies. Although on a hill over looking the distant sea. It was a pleasurable stay. Amenities all easily accessible and clean. The pitch area is little cramped when full of 5 vans due to the sloped half. but those we shared with were all friendly and stayed equally as long as us.. A short drive to access the wonders of the north east coast line or the north York moors. I will be a regular here.
