Great Place to Stay

Second visit to this CL and another enjoyable week. Jo is very welcoming and the site provides your own tap with drainage and elec hook up so you get a serviced pitch for the price. Chemical loo disposal is nearby the entrance to the site. Although very peaceful beware if you are not a petrol head of the proximity of the Prescott Hill Climb circuit and, if so, check the meeting schedule and avoid. Not an issue for us and we thoroughly enjoyed all the walking and cycling on offer in the area. Good footpaths and quiet roads link the site to Cleeve Hill, Winchcombe and Dumbleton Wood and the Winchcombe Way passes close to the site. Our dog had his legs walked off and loved the fact that the fields immediately around the CL are all open to dog walking subject to stock and crops. We cycled to the shops in Bishops Cleeve for essential fresh supplies and further afield on the quieter roads. The Hobnails Inn on the Winchcombe Way is well worth a visit for excellent food and service - the footpath goes right through the car park. TV reception is OK but with so many hills around the antenna set up is important. The 4G signal is also OK but only two bars most of the time. All the pitches are hard standing and pretty close to level. If you have time walk across the field on the footpath to where the Winchcombe Way crosses the road to Gotherington and head up Granna Lane a short distance to the footpath to Gotherington Halt on the old steam railway line. There you can see what must be one of the best restored railway stations in the country and the sight took me back in time to the heyday of the train - if you are lucky a steam train will go through and they run infrequently close to the CL. Thank you, Jo, we look forward to returning and hope to bring good weather again next time!

Lovely stay at Pardon Hill Farm

Just stayed here for 2 days seeing friends in the area before driving down to Devon. Jo could not have made us more welcome, it’s a very tranquil site. There were two lovely horses in a paddock not too far away so seeing all the wildlife was a real bonus. We will be back. We even got to see The Red Arrows on the first day, which was a bit of luck. Absolutely Amazing Site!

We have just left this site today (19/8/20) after 7 wonderful nights. After five years of caravanning this is the best holiday we have ever had. We didn't want to come home today! Jo was really friendly and welcoming, everyone and everything was just SO relaxed. This is absolutely what we need to wind down from some horrific months at work. If I had to be picky, I would love the grass to have been a bit shorter round our pitch (but really it was not an issue). The only downside to this site (and this is nothing to do with the owners) there is some kind of race track almost opposite and there was an event there both the Saturday we arrived and the Sunday as well. It was incredibly noisy both days with an early start on the Sunday and loud tannoy noise. Another camper on the site went over and complained but I don't think it made any difference. Given how amazing everything else is on this site, the noise was worth putting up with and that is why i have scored 3/5 for tranquility and 5/5 for everything else. Thanks Jo and Dave!

Lovely site

An excellent site with a friendly welcome. Level hardstanding serviced pitches with easy access. A great base for visiting our daughter in Cheltenham, we will use it again. Very good for peace and quiet.

One of the nicest CL's we have stayed on

We have just spent a lovely weekend at this little gem of a CL. The views from site are lovely and each pitch is hardstanding, has it's own water and waste with electric between pitches - everything you need so all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Jo made us feel very welcome and we will certainly be booking again.

Superb CL site

My wife and I have just spent 7 days at Pardon Hill Farm and for a CL site it gives way more than expected. The pitches are large , plenty of space between and all fully serviced. The location was first class for touring around the area and very easy to access. Jo was great with her advice on eating out and we found the places all to be of a very high standard. The views on site are first class and the privacy just what we needed, would definitely come back George & Lesley Mailer

First Holiday since Lockdown

Have just spent another 6 great nights at this fantastic CL everything was still as good as we had remembered. Jo has put hand sanitizing products at all the onsite amenities for your use. Visitors with restrictions are allowed which was extremely useful for us. We enjoyed our visit so much that we have already booked to return for the August Bank Holiday. If you do decide to visit this site we are sure that you will not be disappointed.

Loved it and highly recommend

Jo and Dave were fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. The site is spotless and having fully serviced pitches at a CL site is brilliant. I would highly recommend this site it is excellent. We will be revisiting again.

Excellent.

We stayed at this site for six nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Grey chippings for our level hard standing, water, electric point and waste water drainage on every pitch,luxury..It rained hard a few evenings but the pitch always stayed well drained and dry. Lovely views. We would recommend this site. As it is next to a Hill climb course it could get noisy in the daytime if a meeting is running, but should be fine at night. Bishop's Cleeve is not far away if you need some shopping. The Chippy was very good the best we have had for a long time. The Cheltenham Park & Ride is just a few more miles down the road if you want a relaxed trip to town. We would love to return to this site in 2020.
