Lovely place to stay if you want basic.
Its a field with a tap and toilet waste, the place is quiet we woke up to a cow in the field with us and the kids loved it. One other camper in the field which is about 2.5 acres. We will be going back again soon, ideal for the current covid situation lots of space.
Peaceful and quiet, charming host.
Blissfully simple, calm, spacious. Basic but adequate facilities for our needs, but maybe not yours. Delightful location. One of our favourites.
Lack of info
Only just getting round to reviewing this site. We stayed here for one night at the end of September. We drove to it from the Hever Castle direction. The farm itself was on the right. We pulled in to the yard - no one was about - so we were slightly unsure of where to go. In the distance I spotted what looked like another motorhome in a nearby field. We continued up the road and on the LHS saw a gate with the signage on indicating we had reached the CL. We pulled in, set up and filled up with what water we required. Later that afternoon the owner of the other motorhome arrived on site. We asked him if he knew where we cou!d get rid of our chemical waste. He gave us a vague idea of where it could be - but we must have misunderstood as we couldn't find it anywhere. He a!so mentioned that if no one came for the payment - we were to leave it underneath the wheelie bin. Apparently a recent visitor had left without paying! Well, come the next day we were yet to see anyone to pay - and as we had to leave - we left the fiver - in an empty cereal bag - under the bin and went on our way. We sent a text to the CL owner to explain what we had done.
The site itself was basic, relatively quiet (it is on a flight path) - and the field full of sheep! Some sort of clear indication as to where to empty grey and chemical waste would have been helpful.
Lovely basic site
Lovely basic site, no electric, just a field and a tap (waste is in the next field over). We woke one morning to find cute fluffy sheep in the field with us! Friendly owner at farmhouse down lane only charged us £4 a night in high season! Amazing value. Really close to Hever Castle. Only bad point is noise from planes into Gatwick, luckily they dont fly at night.
First trip out this year
Chose this location because not far from us and wanted to check out the van before going further afield. We were the only ones in the field and chose to park farthest from the road although it is not busy at all. The first thing noticed when engine off was the planes from Gatwick. Got used to them very quick but they are quite regular.
Took the dogs for a lovely walk to Heaver castle and the pub nearby, very pretty walk and not too far. Found water easily but took all waste back with us. Miss Biddle was lovely and very helpful.
