Autumn colours

Arrived at the site and was welcomed by the owner, showed us were everything was,as we were the only caravan we could choose were to go.had a lovely view of countryside and livestock.Beautiful sunsets and sunrises.wouldn't call the site sloping as we found it nearly flat.Visited many villages and found the location very handy.Would certainly recommend this site and would come again.

Perfect Pitch

The is a beautifully maintained site ideally situated for exploring the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds. The photographs don't do it full justice as there are lovely views across the valley. It's wonderfully quiet and Mrs Gilder is welcoming and knows what caravanners need. There is some wonderful walking to be had from the site and the local pub in Ford is excellent. I would recommend this site unreservedly.

What A Gem

We've just spent an idyllic weekend at this lovely CL.  The owners are friendly and welcoming. The site is well kept, with wonderful views.  It is quiet and relaxing.  There is plenty of room, with spacious pitches.  The access into the site is wide.  The lane approaching the site is narrow, but there are plenty of passing places.  We'll be back.

Lovely peaceful site

Stayed nine nights on this lovely site. Large, well drained and mowed. Although the weather was very wet we had no problem getting on and off even though we were pitched at the bottom of the field. All pitches had wonderful views of the Cotswold Hills and farm animals. We would not hesitate to stay here again when re-visiting the area.

Great views

Just got home from a week at this CL. The views from the site are beautiful with plenty of opportunities for walking. The journey from the main road to the site is along a single track road with passing places, care is needed, as traffic does come along the road at a speed. Many places to visit from the site, we went into Winchcombe on our first night and had fish and chips. The site is kept clean and tidy, with different bins for recycling. A really nice place, we will definitely be going again.

Great Location

A very well kept site with pitches well spaced out.  Fantastic views (we saw deer running in the next field).  Great location so perfect for walking. If we was in the area I would visit this site again.    If the site had toilets & showers it would be perfect

A Beautiful CL

This is a lovely site especially if you want to get away from it all.  The nearest main road - the B4077 - is over a mile away so apart from the occasional car using the approach road which is barely noticeable there is no road noise.  The site has a very large area of well kept grass with views of the surrounding countryside.  The position of the electric points allow all the pitches to be spaced well apart.  A low drystone wall and hedge screens the site from the approach road.  Although the site is relatively high it does not feel exposed and gets plenty of sun and is well drained.  There is excellent walking from the site which is on the Gloucestershire Way with numerous other 'Ways' within easy reach on foot.  An OL 45 Explorer Map is a must for the area.  The nearest shops and convenience stores are about 3 miles away at Winchcombe but for a large supermarket you have to go to Evesham which is about 20 minutes away by car.   The much larger Cheltenham is half an hour away.  There are many things to do and see in the immediate area which include Snowshill NT Garden and House, Hailes Abbey NT & English Heritage, Sudeley Castle, the Gloucester & Warickshire RW, Broadway with its many shops including a small supermarket and a host of other interesting and attractive hamlets and villages.  Whilst towing a caravan you can only access the site safely from the East off the B4077 at the hamlet of Ford.  The 1 1/4 mile approach road from the B4077 has plenty of large and well spaced passing places but you wouldn't want to meet a caravan coming the other way so best not to arrive until well after mid-day and similarly to leave well before mid-day.  Pinnock Wood Farm is the 3rd farm on the left opposite a prominent plantation on the right after Slade Barn Farm and Pinnock Farm.  It is well signed and there is easy access onto the site which is gently sloping in places.  We had reasonable terrestrial TV and mobile phone reception.

Beautiful spot!

We had a fantastic break over October half-term at this peaceful and friendly site, not far from our home but a real break for us!  Great location in the beautiful Cotswolds with so much to do.  Both Don & Julie were very friendly but we would like to say a huge thank you to Don who took an hour of his time to show our little-ones the cattle with their calves and let them feed the sheep.  I wonder if Eric the cow will still be there when we next return which hopefully won't be long?!
