GREAT CL

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Priory Farm. We can thoughly recommend this CL. The site facilities are as good as a Club site. A previous review criticised the site because the grass was to long. We are sure that this must have been the fault of the weather this year with all the rain and not being able to cut it. When we arrived the grass was short and while we where there it was also cut again. A lovely CL and we will return again next year.

Great location

This CL is in a great location for the Suffolk coast. It's a short walk in to the village but we did struggle to find any local dog walks. We also struggled to find anybody to pay so pitched up and eventually found somebody the next day. It has got 5 hard standings which are relatively small and close together but there is a big grassed area at the bottom of the site. Facilities for waste and water were very good. TV reception and 3G/4G on O2 were good. We would return though as we didn't have long enough to explore the local area.

Tiger Country

Unfortunately we arrived during a heavy rain storm, we could not find anybody to ask about pitch so proceeded onto the site. To our dismay the grass had not been mown for sometime as it was 30cm long in places even near to the hard standing which was not large enough for outfit and awning.  As an awning is very important to us and it would have been foolish to try to erect, so this was a problem.  Again went to reception but got no response. This was a shame but despite some road noise from local A road the village was charming and the general facilities were excellent.

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for writing a review. The CL owners have been in touch as they work hard to ensure everyone is happy on site and want to address the concerns you have raised.

Unfortunately during the time of your stay the CL owner was unwell. They would like to assure guests this is not what people can expect when staying with them. The grass is being regularly maintained and this is no longer an issue.

As you can see from other reviews the CL is very popular and is well cared and looked after. We sincerely apologise if you do not feel this was the case during your stay.

Would Recommend

Have just returned from a few days stay and found it to be very pleasant and ideally located for visiting beauty spots as in Southwold , Dunwich etc. The local pub The Fox Inn Darsham is a great little pub with delicious food. We had a lovely Sunday roast dinner and desert for £10.95 p.p. Nell and Brian were very welcoming. Will return in future. Plenty of pleasant dog walks although some noise occasionally from clay pigeon shooting on neighbouring farm but not a problem really.site is clean and well kept.

Stay with motorhome towing car.

A large, peaceful, well-kept site.  The cdp/water point is covered and is better than at most club sites.  The last 250 metres to the site is fairly narrow but presents no major problems.  This was our second stay on this site and we would not hesitate about returning.

Nice C.L. but !

Very nicely kept, peaceful C.L.with views over adjoining fields. Tight entering/exiting c.l. due to trees/bushes, my wife had to push back branches so not to get big dents/scratches down the side of van. Be aware of extra add on's with the prices if you have visitors, dogs etc. Another dog owner was told by the owner not to use the adjoining open field but to use the bridleway which was overgrown, so why the extra charge for a dog then?

Priory Farm Darsham

Set just off the A12, so with easy access, this is a quiet CL with some hard standings. Ideal for Minsmere RSPB reserve (about 10 mins drive) and the Suffolk coast towns and villages. The pub in the village does good food and Adnams ale
