Great location

We have just enjoyed 13 days on this cl, on arrival we had a warm welcome from Carol who was waiting at the gate to show us to our pitch and shortly afterwards Ed came and gave us some homegrown vegetables and there was more available to purchase for a donation to the honesty jar. Our pitch was nice and level with the added bonus of being fully serviced, which as regular Ralliers was a welcome bonus. The site is well situated to access all parts of the island and good cycling routes along disused railways are easily accessible and the local pubs are well worth a visit. Thank you for arranging our ferry. Steve & Sand

Blissful!!!

What is left to say? Was almost having the feel of the Red Carpet being laid just for us, have never had such a warm fabulous welcome by owners ever, to top it which I'm sure many have not, 🙂 we received a very large home grown Cuecumber, Carole later came with delicious chocolates which were not available at time of arrival, these being our welcome gift! Never used a service pitch before these were great endless water for showers....who needs a shower block when you have water and a outfit with shower. Grass pitch laid with reamforcement matting all level and plenty of space between outfits, lots of comaradery between other campers and daily chats with Ed and Carole.... so lovely. Location of Rodgebrook ideal..not far to nearest supermarket which for us was Lidle (BBQ Bratwurst yummy) Sad farewell Len Ani and I want to give a big 👍 You have a fantastic place and your green beans and cucumber will be sorely missed..and Yourselves of course....Shoosh mustn't tell everyone 😀 Janie Len and Little Ani

A lot of thought!

A lot of thought and planning has gone into this CL by Ed and Carol to ensure the experience of everyone who stays here is a pleasurable one. From the initial warm welcome and introduction to the amenities to the well thought out pitches, all fully serviced and the information hut with everything one may need in the event of an emergency. As islanders ourselves we will most definitely return.

Keeping it quiet!

It's always a dilemma isn't it. You find the ideal CL and you don't want anyone else to know about it in case it becomes too busy! But, my conscience has got the better of me and I've just got to write a review for this site. We first stumbled across this CL when we were looking for somewhere to stay near our family in Newport on the Island. Ed and Carol had only just opened so we managed to get ourselves a pitch with no trouble. Ed even arranged for a discount ferry crossing for us which was an added bonus. We arrived fairly late but this didn't alter the very warm welcome we received from both Carol and Ed. They'd made sure we had some basic supplies, made us a lovely cup of coffee, effectively tucking us up for the night. During our stay there, they both went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and happy being on the site. Ed even sorting out a mechanical problem we had with the unit. We've been back several times since then and always feel just as welcome as when we first pitched up. This is the way that all CL's should be run; well managed and efficient but with that warm human touch. But keep it quiet, OK! ;-)

Fantastic find

what a fantastic find if only all CL’s were as good as this .Ed & Carole go out of their way to make you welcome at this relatively new CL. All the pitch’s are fully serviced and plastic matting has been put in place under the turf on the terraced pitches unfortunatly the island has had more rain than most and despite all our best efforts the ground was just to wet to pitch on .No problem ,as we were the only van their for the mayday bank holiday weekend we were placed on the hard standing entrance to the field .The site is in quiet countryside less than 10 mins from Cowes or Newport . Ed and Carole have installed a little hut full of books, games and emergency items just in case . On the bank holiday we were surprised to be invited to breakfast .Ed is American & cooked up some delightful pancakes . The Blacksmith pub serve up some excellent food but you do need to book ahead. we have some friends on the island so we will be back we just hope that once this site is listed in the next directory when it comes out it does not become to popular as it really is a fantastic find

A Truly Heart Warming Stay.

So it All started with our Ferry Times being altered and with that the added cancellation of a Non CAMC camp site! (as we weren't going to arrive in the stated Opening Hours our booking was cancelled) So being Stuck with no where to Turn we had a Quick check through the CAMC Site and found Rodgebrook Farm, Being that it was late in the evening we weren't expecting an answer, but a very Jolly Lady answered almost immediately and from That moment on the one Night Stay soon turned to a full weekend! Not Only was the Site easy to find, Exceptionally Clean, Well Presented, Full of helpful camper Perks like Waste and Fresh Water taps on each pitch and Strong Wi-Fi. It was Truly the most picturesque location we have ever stayed at. The owners Carole and Ed Truly made our stay exceptional with the islands knowledge easily to Hand in a great little booklet that wasn't written in a office by someone who had no knowledge of the island, it really had all the Hidden secrets from the best pubs to the most amazing Dinosaur finds hidden on the Beach (and no I wont tell you where you'll have to stay there the night and read the Booklet) So Overall For our First CAMC Stay as new members we are Truly Happy Campers!! One more thing make sure you buy a bottle of Apple juice or two as you haven't tried Apple juice this good!!!

Agreed - a gem of a site - with apple juice included!

This was our first visit to the island in over 40 years. A fairly new site, Rodgebrook Farm is ideally located - it's about the same distance to everywhere! Ed warmly welcomed us on arrival. The weather had been very wet but he scurried around providing strong boards for all our wheels and hard-standing for our car till it dried out. Nothing was too much trouble. One day, he suggested we might like to help with his apple juice production line. Two barrow loads of apples, suitably cut and crushed and passed to Ed for pressing and testing, he later that evening presented us with two bottles of his (our?) home-made juice, still warm from its heat-treatment. Delicious. Wifi throughout the site was a real bonus. Tv reception was excellent too. A little gem of a site. Enquire about their ferry crossings at good rates - we didn't - but think we should have!

Perfect little gem

What a little gem. We were privileged to be the first Motorhome visitors to stay at Rodgebrook Farm. The CL has five grass terraced pitches each having their own water, electric hook up and grey waste. There is even a quaint sentry box. This contains 2 solar lights for each pitch, a whole host of little emergency items if needed, games, books, puzzles and dvds that can be borrowed. The CL was so lovely and relaxing that we extended our stay for another three days, we just didn't want to leave. Ed and Carol are the perfect hosts, they made us feel very welcome, were on hand if needed and the home grown veggies were lovely. We highly recommend Rodgebrook Farm and can't wait to go back.
