Superb site

Don't tell anyone else but this is a superb site! It's massive, it's quiet, it's easy to get to, the surrounding area is stunning if you like coastal scenery and walks. We have walked the coast path, body boarded on the beach, cycled on the tarka trail and generally had a great time. Shopping for food is very easy, ALDI, Asda and Lidl all only 10/15 minutes by car, local shops in Appledore 20 minute walk. Been here for 3 weeks and loved every minute, thank you Alice and Robert, we will be back.

Does what it says on the tin.

My wife, me and two dogs took quite a journey from the Northeast all the way to Devon and it was definitely worth the journey. Access to the site is relatively easy as it's not far off the main road as long as you don’t go up the long lane from Northam. The site is located just outside Appledore one way and Northam the other. The site itself was clean and well maintained with Alice and her husband popping on site to empty bins and tidy the site each day. There are dog walks, beeches both ways from the site and all the things you need you can find in Appledore. There's an abundance of public houses serving food, ice cream vans and a little store for your purchases. Northam is a bigger town with more facilities but it is more touristy as its also part of Westward Ho. The site does get a bit breezy at times as it is right by the Bristol channel (well it is called Seabreeze). Its location is ideal for windsurfers, beach lovers, walkers and cyclists. We all had the most enjoyable holiday of 10 days and cant thank Alice enough for letting on the site which was busy with coming and going each day as soon as one pitch was vacated it was filled. We booked nearly a year in advance and I would recommend you do the same.

Perfect site for us

This was the perfect site for us. Quiet, flat, clean and well looked after. Access to lovely walks straight from the site and lots of interesting places to visit nearby. Will hope to return in the not too distant future.

Beautiful picturesque Cl.

A beautiful, picturesque, adult only Cl on the outskirts of Appledore. More than the average Cl with beautiful planted borders & well manicured flat ground. Excellent recycling, water, waste & chemical else point. This cl is immaculately kept by Alice & her hubby, who are lovely & pleasant, knowledgeable about surrounding area. They really take pride in this site & should be very proud of it! Well done both! . They visit every day or two to tidy site, empty bins/ recycling bins, check all is well, so don't worry about finding them immediately to pay your fees. Appledore is about a 17minute walk via roads & footpaths. Westward Ho is around 35-40 mins walk or a 6min drive! Lots of other places worth a visit too, Barnstable, Bideford, Clovelly. Further a field Woolacome, Coombemartin, Illfracoombe, Lyndon, Bude. We would just like to say a huge thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & hope to return again soon!

A Perfect CL

We stayed for 10 nights in mid June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The more or less level site is extremely well managed with flowers planted and tended around the edges. We were welcomed at the entrance and shown where to pitch. The 5 grass pitches are spaced out along one edge of the site with two nearest the gate and three at the far end. All the essential CL amenities and electric hook-ups are at hand and the disposal point is kept clean and orderly. From the site we were able to walk to Appledore in about 15mins or to Westward Ho! in 35mins. Alternatively, we could walk around Northam Burrows and along the beach to Westward Ho! and further along the coastal path towards Hartland Point. We also enjoyed many miles of cycling, either through Bideford to the Tarka Trail disused railway track or across the Ferry from Appledore with our bikes to join the trail at Instow. This Sustrans trail runs from Meeth in the South to Ilfracombe in the North and we managed almost all of it with convenient coffee and eating places en-route. There are several good places to eat in Westward Ho! and Country Cousins and Morans Thai restaurant were extremely good. The nearest good supermarket is Morrisons in Bideford and this is around a 10-minute drive. There is a Tesco Extra in Westward Ho! and a good deli in Appledore.

What a find !

Just back from 5 days at Seabreeze - if only it could have been more. This is a great CL, in a fantastic location. As soon as you see the wide entranceway, you know that you are in for a treat. Two acres of immaculate grass with just five pitches well spread apart (2 at one end, 3 at the other), with lovely flower borders around some of the edge. The location is brilliant - dog walking on “The Burrows” and beaches is 5 minutes down the lane and Appledore is 15 mins walk with great pubs/bars shops etc. The views are great, the owners lovely, (and never in your face), and you can just sit back and relax and watch the sunset over the beach. It doesn’t get much better than this.
