Our first stay at this peaceful site. We had done a drive round the previous weekend to find it (as we were staying locally elsewhere) and its only 5 or so minutes drive from the A32 (between Alton & West Meon). Phone booking was easy and the owner was relaxed about arrival and departure times which makes for a relaxing weekend. It's a lovely L-shaped field round the edge of a small field of sheep (and lambs when we were there) with enough electric hook ups to have 5 vans spread out. The owner popped by to say hello when we setup and saw her and her husband over the weekend at various times (both are very friendly). We were visited by several of their chickens (very friendly and are happy to walk right up to you) and also got to meet their lovely Westie dog. Its a dog friendly site (we had our two lurchers) and there are plenty of footpaths that can be accessed just a few minutes walk from the site (the road its on is a minor country road so very quiet (but not far too tow along - its only a few 100 yards back to the 2 lane B-road then on to A32)). The site gives easy access to local towns/villages and sites (Alton, Petersfield, Winchester, West Meo, Droxford, Wickham etc) and then onwards to the coast. Facilities were fine (electric, separate drinking water tap and toilet emptying point and tap) and great value for £10 a night. And did we mention it was quiet....lots of bird song and even the sound of steam train whistles heard from the Watercress Line at Ropley Overall very glad we took the trouble to find and go to the site and will definitely be going back.
